nabiladeeb kindly gave me a VKP patch to remove the "lens cover closed" error when you try to activate the camera with the lens cover closed. However, I need the patch for a k750i R1AA008 (red). I can't find the VKP for this specific firmware, and I'm not to keen on updating FW either.
Could someone help me out? Can someone convert the vkp to the correct addresses form k750i? Thanks guys! vkp below:

well i suggest u upgrade your firmware to R1CA021, since it has most of the patches are available for it.
in case you decide to do so. here is the patch for K750i R1CA021...

Thanks that's great! I decided to update firmware to R1CA021 but before I go ahead with flashing I just wanted to check with you if the files I've got are right. I'll be using Gflash for the process.
I'm in Italy, but I'm English so I need English and Italian language, CID36 red so...
FS file - K750_R1CA021_FS_EUROPE_5_RED36.fbn.rar
Main - K750_R1CA021_MAIN_EU_1_CL_RED36.rar (only one I could find, is it correct?)
Finalising - K750i_CDA102337_13_EUROPE_5.zip (will this work with the above?)
After I've flashed I'll let rip with the vkp's!

Oh yeah! Got me an updated phone
First vkp I installed was the lens cover patch, worked a treat. Nice one, thanks!
Europe 5 was just right. I did a whole lot of research so I wouldn't mess up the flashing process but still don't understand, it seems you can use any main flash file for r1ca021. Well mine worked and that's all that matters. Off to get me all the vkp's I lost for my old fw.
Thanks for your help again.
Maybe I'll need help some time soon for my internal fm radio antenna project!

Hey guys. I found out that the lens cover message patch only removes the patch. When applied to a camera with a broken camera lens cover switch, activating the camera shows no message and no image preview (you can still take a photo though).
The only way to fix a broken lens cover switch is either to replace it or to solder it.
However...on a k750i maybe there is a way to attach a thin metal strip to the grey plastic part of the sliding assembly, lined up with the two solder points of where the switch is/was so that when you open the lens cover the metal strip closes the circuit and activates the camer like normal!
