Updated Tutorial...
This is a tutorial where you can access to you FileSystem with a file named default_upgrade.xml! It only costs you 10€(USD), thats the bad news!

1.) If you have already a modded cmz_config.xml to execute default.xml at Master Reset Settings

Take the default_to_default_upgrade_W_CID51_52.zip


Upload the files into PHONE -> other. Now it should look like this:


Now Goto Settings -> Reset All -> Resotre Settings
Restart your Phone 2 Times, and voula there is a Please Wait screen at the startup


2.) If you don't have a modded cmz_config.xml
Buy 10 Credits and Download DaVinciTeam Flasher from http://davinciteam.com
Take the default_upgrade_davinci_K790_K800_CID51_52.zip if you have K790 or a K800(included K810) Phone or
Take the default_upgrade_davinci_W_CID51_52.zip if you have another Phone

Follow this Pictures:


Then Press GO and wait...

3.) Howto Create a default_upgrade.xml

Download Click to view attachment Then you can create your own File Operations.
Save the File as default_upgrade.xml and restart your Phone to execute it!

your 'other' folder is tpa/user/other and for K790/K800/K810 usb/other

If you think you have enought experience you can edit your Files manually, these file Operations are Possible

Once this is done, what happens when we upgrade via seus?
will it still work after?

is default_upgrade.xml removed after the 'upgrade' is performed?

and if there is no default_upgrade.xml file present - will the phone boot up normally?

This is the only one Problmen we don't know!
the file cmz_config.xml is in the flash of the Phone!
SEUS replaces all files that are changed in the new Firmware, but i don't know if cmz_config.xml is replaced
I would update before!

The phone will boot normally if default_upgrade.xml is not present.
I just tested it.

An other interesting mod is the Halmer certificate, available here (click "Халмер для K790/800")
Upload the extracted files to "phone memory/other" and restart your phone twice

Hi, I wonder if anybody can help me, I've never done anything like this before (an .xml file means nothing to me) so I'm sorry if what I'm doing wrong is blindingly obvious. I followed the guide, as far as I can see, precisely but I was slightly confused by the last part, to say the least. The flash part all definately worked.
Anyway, I'm now left with my menu looking exactly the same as it was before, with a folder named 'icons' in my 'other' folder that just seems to be full of pictures that I can view and use for nothing else. I got the 'please wait' when I restarted the phone but nothing has changed.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I think this is a very stupid question, but is it now possible to debrand CID51 (and CID52), sincce my K800 is Orange Branded CID51, and it won't let me download new fw (now I'm stuck with R1GB00)

then u must choose a folder with the icons you want to have, go into this folder and COPY the file default_upgrade.xml to OTHER on the Phones memory, then restart your phone

what else is there to do , other than change icons?


how can i get rid of the operator text on the home screen?

I have the icon folder saved into the 'other' folder on my phone, when I copy the .xml file and restart the phone i get the please wait message still, but nothing changes. If anybody who has this working can help me I'd be very grateful. My msn is lawson1024@gmail.com

I followed the tutorial on my w850i cid 52, after I clicked flash it went through fine but when I connect my phone normally using USB mode to copy file (with the phone on and off both) I cannot see my PHONE MEMORY folder anymore... only the MEMORY CARD folder so I cannot use xml to move files. HELP!

EDIT: ok I can access phone memory from bluetooth only, if you can help me with the problem above I'd still appreciate it, thanks!

cos previously i tried, the orignal icons replacement, this 2 icons is making it having trouble to the menu.ml also... so, i hope your edit the default_upgrade.xml and also the menu.ml...

add as link in this forum once u have done... i want a diff icon version and also the orignal version to try out... if i can make it, i'll let you know... thanks a million...

And it seems to be working, I tried moving a JPG file from "other" folder to "picture" using the XML file and it does work... just trying to get flash themes to work right now.

by the way, Your manual consists 2 little error. Some people can just spend they money, if they do like you wrote. (except k790/k800). But if you made it your self, you can find errors of course. Good Luck.

i can`t find any errors.. i made it this way and it works

is it that everytime we want to change the icon, we have to go pay the credit to unlock the .xml???

i think thats it... i'm giving up... ive spend reaching 200 dollar for this... thats it...

guys, finally... i fix it...
yesterday night i try the very last time... and i can do it already...
all u have to do is to do all the settings using com...

before flashing, install the software:
* use the SE syn installation disk, install that to your com
* flash the program that (eXoR) have posted
* once u have done following (eXoR) instruction
* use the SE syn and syn it to the com (choose file transfer on your phone)
* on computer, copy the default_upgrade.xml out to your comuter as backup
* on computer, overwrite the "other" folder inside your phone memory with eXoR's menu icon that he have posted
* paste back the default_upgrade.xml that u have copied out into "other" folder(advise to make a backup for this copy)
* on the computer, choose the menu you want and copy the default_upgrade.xml from the icon folder
* on computer, paste it again into "other" folder (must overwrite the existing default_upgrade.xml that u have previously paste back)
* now you can do a restart...

should be able to do it...
i'm just trying my best to explain for those like mi who cannot fix this...

On k790/k800 it works. But other phones, not ever.

hope that we can develope the script for flash themes/menu and also to increase the volume...
