No, you dont need debrand. In this moment PhoneSX work for me.

I tried XS++ and uploaded swf files and modified the theme.xml. However I still don't get the flash menus. Help.

maybe it's because the flash menu and the theme aren't coupled..
You should use SE-theme Tool to make them work on your phone.
