Hello all,

First off, I'd like to thank everyone on these forums for their help and kindness. We have such a great community here that is so willing to lend each other a hand. In fact, this forum totally guided me with flashing my w300 and consequently inspired me to begin creating custom flash lite menus for my phone.

As a result I've started a blog-site where I'll post all things related to flash lite applications for Sony Ericsson phones. I'm currently working on a tutorial to help those who are interested in creating their own flash lite menu. In the meantime, I've noticed some people are having problems implementing their flash lite menus onto their phones. I've created a quick guide.

http://flash-lite-tutorial.blogspot.com/20...lite-menus.html

Please let me know what you think, and if there's anything I need to add.

Thanks,

phirewerkz

Thanks! I really appreciate your support!

I'll be updating the site very regularly on how to make flash lite menus. I think it's unrealistic to have one huge long tutorial, since it's a very arduous process, so I'll probably break it up into a few little articls so it is better understood and absorbed.

Cheers,

Better tutorial step by step smile.gif

Yeah. My focus however is creating flash lite menus, not really giving step by step instructions on installing per se.

nope sad.gif K750/W800 firmware does not include flashlite - flashlite started with the W810.

though there may be some hope if you want to do some more research:

there was a version of W800 firmware that suported flashlite, but that firmware release had bulk problems. The further firmware releases didn't include flash lite.

If you can find that version firmware and flash it to your phone, and if the problems with that firmware don't include crashing and other nasty things, then you may be happy with the result.

I think (but might be wrong) that the version was R1N035 (the firmware release that had the file transfer via usb bug). Check the K750 firmware thread at esato, the answer should be in there.

Even if you did have that firmware, I believe Flash Menus arent supported sad.gif.

Thanks phirewerkz. Great tut.

Thanks phirewerkz. Great tut.

I found the reference. it's R1L002
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?t...080#post1521579

R1L002 supported themes with flahlite animations. But it still used used menu.ml for defining menu elements.

Oh ok. Thanks for the correction.

Hi. Great thread guys. Works like a charm. I was wondering if it is possible to implement flash lite menus to your fone using SETool2 Lite? (ie.uploading swf files to fone with SETool2 Lite)

Seems that is does not use bruteforcing so it would be quicker.

If anyone has successfully uploaded swf files with SETool2 Lite would they please be kind enough to give us a step by step procedure of how it's done. I've searched and searched these forums and can't seem to find any info on uploading swf's to fone.

Please, any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, Im using a w850i, cid49, db2020

Tried searching yet? I'm not sure if it is supported and can't help you, but you need to know that

you should be using XS++ v3.1 and not dev 3.2. dev 3.2 was a leaked version and was never meant to be released.
