ok...so you'll need a couple of things like: - a set of cell phone screwdrivers , a thinn blade and stuff for cleaning the display and other parts of the phone. (note:this phone was disassembled for cleaning purpose only)

step 1 -remove the battery and sim card Click to view attachment

step 2 -unscrew the 2 screws next to the usb connector Click to view attachment

step 3 -this is the hard part...we must remove the aerial cover , carefully not to damage it or the antena circuit that lies under. The cover has 2 clippings on both sides so u'll need to apply a little force Click to view attachment

step 4 -unscrew the last 2 screws that were hidden under the aerial cover Click to view attachment

step 5 -removing the front cover of the phone - just run a sharp blade or just your nail throught the side and it will easily pop out...pls do not pull up from the front because it's quite fragile

Here's how it should look if u managed to go through all 4 steps tongue.gif Click to view attachment

step 6 -removing the "mainboard"(PCB) The PCB is fixed by clippings so it shouldn't be such a big deal taking it out. Just put your finger in the sim slot and push up...using the other fingers to pull it the up right position Click to view attachment

This is the mainboard removed from the casing Click to view attachment Click to view attachment
we can see here on the back the crappy 2mpx camera thumbdown.gif , the video mic , and the loudspeaker connector
WARNING - my loudspeaker was conected via pin & wire, i don't know why they didn't use 2 pins ohmy.gif but i managed to disconect it tongue.gif be carefull unless you want to do very fine soldering byebye.gif

here u can see the small but powerfull loudspeaker thumbsup.gif Click to view attachment
and here is it again after i resoldered it Click to view attachment

So that's all i guess devil2.gif sry about the low-quality pic...they were taken whit my web-cam & excuse my english shy.gif the process should be similar for the k610 phone and other whit aerial cover.

Be sure to put it all back into a phone wink.gif)
Proceed
Thanks smile.gif

Hi, I'm having a very difficult time trying to go through this step. Exactly where do you apply pressure, and how does the cover come off? Like, does it slide off or come off from the top/bottom. Thanks!

You apply pressure (i used a thin bladed knife) to the left of the camera and work it slowly out to the side so that it becomes vertical. Now you push it further in till you hear a click. Do the same on the right. thumbsup.gif

Ahhh so that's how it's done. Aparently I was trying to use my fingernail to pry open the sides...... Thanks!!

You're welcome. Fingernails are way too soft for this.
