saw that many new users were facing problems to read the phone cid with davinci flasher.
download the usb drivers and extract them to somplace easily remembered.
now switch off your phone and then plug in the usb cable. the pc will show a 'found new hardware message'...now choose 'install from location' option and specify the path where you have extracted the drivers.
once the drivers have been installed...switch off your phone...open davinci flasher...press 'read cid' and plug in the cable.
pls post if its fine
it should work perfectly..

Is it only supposed to be two files in the zip? When specifying the location of the inf file in the archive, Winodws XP does not recognise it as an appropriate driver for the W800i. The driver I've been using is from here http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=gb&...64&esi=true

After the installation, I can use MyPhoneExplorer, access the memory stick from Windows, etc.
However, I am having trouble with anything that involves the 'hold C, plug the cable'. The phone -does- switch on.. But it just gets to the Phone mode/Music mode option screen.

Any help would be much welcome, this is doing my head in.

Thanks in advance.

Remember to hold down `C` on your phone when plugging in the USB cable else it won`t be looking for flash drivers
2samek
yes, that's true.

without those drivers I wasn't able to flash anything on Vista.
with them, it all worked like a charm.

Is it just my phone or are all SE-APAC released phones doesn't have the SEMC flash drive installed? When I tried to upgrade the firmware, my phone's not recognized & when I checked its USB connections, it only showed USB connection for file transfer. I have an SE K810i, traded my K800i after 10months of use. I've searched other forums, downloaded 3 types of USB drivers, tried to update the driver but nothing worked. I think my phone's locked for firmware upgrades unsure.gif

Oh well, I'll just get an update when I really, really need it. Like if my phone acts up but hopefully not. I'm planning to use this for a long time, at least a year lol.gif

Hi...I've got problems with USB Flash Drivers..i guess smile.gif

Well, if i want to apply patch or drivers via FAR, i plug the phone, make connection...but, if i want to access folders FLASH or FS, there's a blue dead in Vista...everytime...i thought, that it is problem with compatibility(i set compatability for W2K and XP and it was the same). But now i flashed my friend's phone via XS++ 1.2 and there was the same problem..when flashing of FS ended, Vista was again "dead"...when i was customizing my phone via this same program, it was the same thing...Main flash too same.....so i changed EPIUSB for USB Flash, which are here, but it is the same problem....Can someone help me, what and where i must set? Answer like "F*ck off vista, use another OS"will not help me, because it isn't my computer.
Thx

BTW: sorry for my english, if you want, i'll write czech version smile.gif

Please, I need help about connecting my K750i CID49 brown to my computer. I'm running WinXP. Somehow, I can't seem to find propper Flash Drivers for my phone. I tried the drivers that I got along with SEUS, they didn't work, I tried the drivers I got here in this forum, again the same, I found the same driver (or at least it looks like it) on some other place on the internet, and still nothing...

As it is somewhere described, I should turn off the phone, connect the USB cable to my computer, press and hold "C" on my phone and then connect USB cable to my phone. Then, if the phone boots up, the Flash driver isn't installed propperly. Well, mine did, every time. But at the same time it happens, either nothing happens on my computer or I get an information that "something went wrong with installing the drivers and the device might not work propperly". I must notice here that I had Flash Drivers ready to be installed if only the computer would offer the "Found new hardware" wizard. But it never did. I tried scanning for hardware change in the Device Manager, it didn't work. Then I tried to install drivers manually, copying them to C:/WINDOWS/system32 although I don't know if it could be done like that. Finally, after the third attempt, the phone stopped turning on after I plug the USB cable to it, but the connection still wasn't working right: XS++ does recognize the phone, giving system information about my phone, although I didn't have courage to see if Flashing or FS would go OK; but FAR manager is stuck on "Waiting responce from phone", it waits for 60 seconds and gets no responce. Can I do anything about it?

Here's the tutorial that I followed correctly: Using Far Manager to hack/flash/patch/customize Sony Ericsson K750i CID49 phones

Also, I have been using this thread in this forum.

Can anyone help me with this? Am I doing something wrong? Primarly I would like to change my .lng and .t9 but also work around a bit with my phone, IF I can establish a connection that is. I would appreciate any help at all.

Edit: Okay, I'm really stuck with it. I somehow found this tutorial which should suit my phone... Using FAR Manager, now I can see the FLASH and FS folders on my phone, which should mean that I got the connection right, right? Well, as soon as I try to access any of them, the phone boots up again and of course, FAR can not proceed. Any ideas at all?

welcome.gif to se-nse forums,

First of all, you need to reinstall the usb flash drivers. follow the tut in the first post.
Far is a bit complicated for everyone to handle...try and connect it to XS++.
