You can bypass the problem by removing the switch and soldering the terminals into the closed position. This means the shutter cover will no longer operate the camera, but it can still be activated by holding down the camera button until the camera starts, or using the Camera option in the menu.
This is als a good mod for K750/W800's with W810 backs, like this example here. It saves shaving the inside of the W810 cover to make room for the switch, and also is ideal since their is no active lense cover on the W810.
For this mod, I have used my experimental K750. This K has the lense removed from the cmos sensor - so in the pics you will see the shiny surface of the cmos sensor. Please note, the lense removal shown in the photos is not part of the camera switch mod, it's part of my lense mod (in progress, click here to view).
PLEASE do not try and dismantle your camera module for this mod!
To start, use an existing thread to learn how to remove the back from your K750/W800, here or here being a couple.. and check here if interested in W810 back or chasis mod.
Here we have the original K750 with camera switch in place.

The switch needs to be removed, to expose the contacts. Use a knife to gently cut the four terminal legs of the switch from the ribbon cable, and remove the switch. You will see four terminals:

Next, the bottom two contacts need to be bridged to set the camera into permanent "POWER" position. (note, when running, camera can be turned off by holding the "back" button.) Bridging can be most reliably achieved by soldering a short length of wire between the two contacts:

And that's it! Reasemble and test, but if you have been careful, you should now be able to use your camera again
just for interests sake, here's the inside of the camera switch:
