I had a lot of trouble getting rid of this sound on my phone due to what I think are small differences in the Aussie K750i s and the lack of a comprehensive guide.

I've thus written a guide which hopefully will help anybody who is stuck with other guides or are totally lost! This guide assumes no knowlege

And yes that is a the exact thread that took me ages to make sense of

oh since we are on this subject I cant get this to work and whatever I chage in customize.xml did not get reflect on the phone. (sound suppression , name change , CDA#). anyway knw wat is happening?

yes i have master reset but everything still the same

Mine is K750 convert to W800 R1BC APAC 1 and CID36

make sure you delete custmize.xml from the phone before copying in the edited one (that is if you edited it off phone)

Did that ..strange thing is I can chge the time thru the customisation and also the suppress sound. what I cant change is the CDA #

why do you care? It won't affect anything.

Are you definitely changing cda-revision and not pcr-revision in the customize.xml? I made this mistake once.
