I've moded my DCU-11 to service cable, you just need to unconnect 5. pin from cable and connect unconnected 5. wire to 7. pin then unconnect 4.pin from cable and connect 4. wire to 6. pin and then finally connect 9 and 11 pin with wire;

sumarry:

move 5 to 7
move 4 to 6
connect 9 to 11

connector-when you face cable towards you and mobile-end-connector(opened) from you

1/3/5/7/9/11/ upper side
2/4/6/8/10/ bottom side

When you have cable connect USBs, start far, start sefp, set corect com, speed, cid, then reinsert baterry in your k700i, connect k700i, and ENTER THE MATRIX!!!

do you need to press the power button to connect with the phone, or phone boots automatically by request of a program?

@Grawp: thanks for showing us how to create a 'custom service cable' out of the DCU-11. to be honest, i was quite 'envious' of people who have the DCU-60, as that cable can not only browse a phone's files, it can also be used for flashing firmware, which the standard DCU-11 cannot do. now that this guide exists, i can say that the two cables are now 'equal'. so happy to have found and read this thread! i can't wait to buy a DCU-11 and try this...

FAR MANAGER dont detect my cable or phone. I dont know what is wrong ? May be is about the driver ? Or is something else ?

i did this change on my DCU-11 but i cant make my cabel to be detected with SEMCtool_v8.4_FREE.

i know the port that the cable is, i select it and tray to unlock my phone and it dosent do nothing!!!

does anyone have any ideia of what is missing on this modd???

I've got myself a DCU-11 cable and I've mod it according to this guide, by
moving pin 4 to 6, pin 5 to 7 and short pin 9 with 11.

However, I got no response at all when
-I tried to read the CID using davinci
-tried to connect using FAR manager

-I follow the instruction on the screen but still ..to no avail :-(

1 funny sign I found was that, whenever I tried to connect the modded dcu-11 to my k700i (it is alredy powered off), without connecting another end to the PC USB port, the phone is always automatically turned on. Is this normal for modded dcu-11 /service cable for k700i?

Can somebody please kindly give some hint, what could have gone wrong?

FRom the third picture above, it seems you are connecting pin2 to pin4 instead of pin4 to pin6, is this correct or my interpretation is wrong?

after my k700i started to behave strangely like resetting itself and displaying wrong Answered/Dialled calls, i decided to update the firmware and started googling the web.
i have a dcu-11 cable and when i found this site i immediately modded my dcu-11 cable successfully.

so the problem is how will i update my firmware now ? What is the "free" solution ?
my phone is not locked, i just want to update the R2AE033 firmware.

i cant use the SEUS program with this cable.
i need the K700i R2CA001 EMEA7 firmware but i couldnt find any resources

Does this work on SE Z800 ?? i have one cable that using "Prolific USB-TO-Serial Bridge" and IC IS AS32XXX Sumthing i forgot. .... I ordered it from HK .. o.O well china made... can it be mod like your ? and is it become service cable or only flashing cable ?
