Alright, my friend went to her aunt's condo. She was careless enough to lost her phone. There are many impt things inside. Unfortunetly, the thief off-ed the phone, and it cannot be reached. She has already reported the loss to the operator. But the operator said giving the IMEI won't work. What should she do now? Can she trace her phone? Can she wipe out all her data in the phone through remote?

Nothing you can do other than report it stolen. The operator should be able to block the phone with the IMEI number.

IMEI should bar the phone

Call the operator and tell them your story, give them your number and they should be able to block it. It happened to my friend once, took <5min to block it (excl. waiting times)
