Full Version: W880i Blank Display Problem

Hello, i just replaced the mainboard of my w880i due to a gdfs error, and now, the display isnt ..displaying anymore, only the led's are working, and everything else, except the display. what could i do? the display was working fine before i bricked the other mainboard and replaced it with thise one... thumbdown.gif

Are you sure it was a GDFS problem?

Sounds more like the crystals have gone in the LCD

not gdfs i replaced the gdfs-bricked mainboard with another mainboard, the display worked just fine on the other mainboard until i bricked the gdfs, and on this mainboard...nothing, the phone is working but the display isnt displaying, only led's

The only solution is to replace the LCD screen anyway

i've read on other forums that even with a new display, the problem remains, i've read somewhere that "we should make jumpers out of the lcd filters on the mainboard to bypass the filter" but i have no idea what that means

if i were you just buy a new lcd and i wouldnt fiddle about with anything you dont no about

a new lcd costs almost as much as the phone itself, out of the question =_=, eh, nvm... i tought some1 camed across this problem but i see that im the only noob...

lcd for the w880i on ebay are like £10 well if you estimate your phone at £10 dont buy it then lol.gif
