I am new to this forum, i registered here just wan to solve my problems..
Want to ask that is it possible to use wifi instead of GPRS to connect to internet?
For games or application like messanger or facebook, when u open the program via your phone, it wil ask request for an internet access right? But why even though you are now connecting via Wi-fi connection it wil stil request for an internet connection??.. Can anybody explain for me?
I mean that, as i have a wireless router in my house, i want to connect to messanger through my phone using my wi-fi,why cant? Is it a sure that must use other source of internet that costy even that i m having a FREE internet source in my home?

P.S. My phone model is SE W995 =)

I assume that you know how to connect to the Wifi connection of the Home wireless router. The WiFi icon should turn green when connected. then-
I found out that-
Go to Connectivity/Internet Settings/... The first option is 'Connect Using', go into it and select some other company name, which you are not subscribed to, and save.
then you will see a setting called Allow Local Connections. Set it to Yes.

If still not working, then your Router settings are not correct.
