Why does the W995 has downgraded walkmate? In my W580i it was so advanced. It has so many settings, enter personal data for accuracy, etc.
W995 walkmate has only turn on and exit function, not even minimise button. No info on how to use it. no history revise button. no save option. what does it actually show? the animated guy just walks when you walk, which tells nothing, but only reminds that "Look look you have a motion sensor in it..!".
Am I using it wrongly? or does it need to be upgraded?

then the kind of downgraded walkmate I am talking about must be in other new models too. anyone has it in the phones?

It tells you how many steps you have done and how many there is to be fit.

W595 has the same app. It's not detailed either, but I can live with that

he's right w580 walkmate got many more options, its also shows your average walking speed! if its possible to install this walkmate on w995, it would be nice

W580's Walkmate is part of the Main, along with a .jar. It won't work on any other phone

Hi, it is a built in installed app in W580, and it is low resolution app.
How can I copy the .jar?
no Location service, and any other applications like that are the gps hoggers. not the motion sensor based app.

W580 has the total fitness based walk, and run mate. The walk counts can bee seen on the standby screen also. Personalinfo-height weight gender year of birth. Also has advanced walking caliberation setting. option to show calories along with steps. shows distance that we have covered, plus ability to select the unit types of the distance, speed and calories. sound alert. weekday results. Its a part of the main really.

I wish the 3D motion sensor could have been exploited more, making use of its complete abilities.

There isn't need to copy it because it will not work with other phones

It gives you the option to calculate how much calories you burn because it calculates it with the information you give about your body This is same as the Location Services --> Tracker for us

just download the version 1.18 from 4shared on my k850 and it works, but the version with the "exit" only.... worked as wallpaper too

shd, yes I tried that too. But while installing, it said that I have version 1.21 in the W995. So no use for me.
Omokas, the application that you are talking about eats gprs money. And who knows, some crappy govt. of other county might be using it to spy on our country.

It doesn't eat up credit. It only uses it to locate where you are. Only downloading maps from the internet costs, GPS itself doesnt.

I guess the walkmate upgrade will have some features.
But really they should make applicaitons to utilise all the capablities of the phone to the fullest.. or else, whats the use selling such a hitech hardware.

that i know, tracer doesnt uses gprs, only GPS... and dont have maps itself...


about the 1.18 version it only has exit too, so dont worry about it


maybe, if you delete your 1.21 version with some patch and try to install a older version, maybe will work

no why would I want to install the older version, that also has only the exit.?

The health application in the W580 that I am telling about, is something different. I just found out that trying old version of walkmate wont help, because it is a completely different application.
Wish there was that motion sensor based Health application in W995, it works very well(more exceptional with advanced 3D sensor of 995). There is a GPS based one, but I think motion sensor base is more reliable and fast.

Can you telll me how to copy and save the applications that I download from SE website? It does not give a installation file, gets installed directly. And thus it gets deleted when I upgrade the firmware. Anyway to get the jar of those applications?
