Which cda has R1GA026 generic for W705? I am so sick of changing cdas and looking for it. Most says, R1Fa035.

The MBN and FBN are unbranded one, only the Custom file contains branded stuff from T-Mobile.

So, to get rid of all those branded stuff, you SHOULD NOT TURN ON the phone after updating with SEUS.

First step to do after updating with SEUS is, delete all the ".itm" file in tpa\preset\custom
Next, use my Custom fileClick to view attachment
put all the file into tpa\preset\custom

Now, turn on your phone, wait until the please wait screen finish its job.

Finally, now have a UNBRANDED R1GA026 on W705

nops i dint...it has all the other apps but not the facebook one...strangely...

actually none of the applications in the "tpa/preset/custom/java" folder got installed...
the rest which i had earlier itself did install like accuweather, world clock, walkmate etc...

Strange, it works for me.. Try to re-flash again. Dont use my custom pack.. Post the result.

if i re-flash it without your cust pack, I will have branded T-mobile here, and hence my operator wont support it, i guess...isnt it??

I tried editing the cust pack and re-installed the cust pack quite many times, but to no success yet..

No, your operator will support it as ur phone is not locked.

Blacklizard, I did not use your custom pack. I took some entries from the T-mobile custom pack and added it to my current custom pack from Singtel to get PlayNow Plus. At first, the result was the same. None of the applications got installed. I thus then decided to use the customize_upgrade.xml, which failed too. After experimenting for quite a bit, i came up with the solution. Create a cusomize_upgrade.xml for two apps one at a time.

Which means, one customize_upgrade.xml for two applications. Repeat until all apps re installed.

yes this time it did load...but i now really want to remove all the branded stuff...

could you now post those customize_upgrade.xml files here...???

strangely the site says that the new software is available, but it isnt. I tried it. and it tells you to install R1FA035.
so i guess would be great if someone could post the appropriate cust pack to remove all the branded stuff...


m done with it...created the customize_upgrade file...and got them installed...strangely again it works if its done one application at a time..not otherwise..:-s

yes...firstly follow all the steps that blacklizard has told in the above posts..
then create a "customize_upgrade.xml" file for each application separately, i.e. one for Facebook application and the other for photomate and install it one by one too..i.e in "tpa/preset/custom"

hey first of all thnx a lot mate..but when i opened customize_upgrade2.xml file it gave an error

The PhotoMate "customize_upgrade.xml" file WORKS! but the Facebook one does not work for me so I modified it and then it WORKED!

I have attached the "customize_upgrade.xml" file for FACEBOOK.

Question:
Inside the Java folder in "tpa/preset/custom" there's a file named HSMANAGER, what is it for?

Ur previous process is very complex... I m uanble to understand....

Guys if I were you i wouldn't install R1Ga026 because it's really buggy.
I would wait for the next release.
- Album art not showing in album mode in media player
- Flash Standby screen laggy
- Not able to transfer contacts form MyPhone explorer anymore
- Not able to play movie downloaded from playnow

i am using R1GA026 and i am facing no such problems.
as far as the play now is concerned i dont now as i dont use it.
but the rest of the problems are not at all there in my phone...so may be a re-flash would help you out...
