hi all,

My K850 is not switching on since this morning!
The problems started a while ago when the screen was going black when pressing any of the keys from the bottom left hand side (4,7 and left and down keys). I would wait for the keypad light to go out and then press any key on the right hand side and everything will go back to normal (i.e. screen will go on again) It was an intermitant fault, so i didnt bother much and usally happened when i write an SMS or play a game.
however this morning i was playing a game, when suddenly the phone turned itself off. When i tried to restart it, the keypad lights go on, it would vibrate and the blue halo on the camera would go on too. Then everything goes off agian and apparently tries to restart again, cos the same thing would be repeated over and over again.
Could anyone please help me?

You have the infamous BROD. Reflash it with A2uploader. The keypad fault tho looks like it may be hardware related. Flash it and see how you go.

Yes. Flash with A2Uploader.

Bloody A2uploader wont work gives some error when trying to open it

That is the error. and the AV i switched it off by exiting the program. I will check if it goes off entirly from task manager, but i think by exiting goes off shouldnt it?

still i got the very first problem, which is the screen goes black when pressing kepad 4,7, left, down buttons but at least it is on !!

That must be hardware related then unfortunately.

could it be the screen not pluged in properly, or defenitly i need to change the LCD?

Well it seems pretty intermittant no? I guess it could be a loose/damaged ribbon cable. If you're confident to take it apart, have a look and see.

probably i'll end up paying aswell (they would do anything to blame you!), but i think its worth a try

Just dont tell them you have flashed it - that invalidates the warranty

i think they will notice. the menu just isnt the same as it was originally. It was the only custom pack i could find. Should i try to update yhe mobile with latest update from SE?
