There is a new Windows Live messenger app for Sony Ericsson phones but only on the Three network branding. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can get it as the alternatives are pretty bad! thanks smile.gif

Other than from a 3 FS (for your phone), nope. Besides, I wouldnt expect it to work if youre on another network

There are MANY applications which support Windows Live with all its features.

Most can be found over at getjar.

Are you sure the original Live Client is available for Motorola only?
Gotta Google it.

I like YehBa 3 (full version, not the lite one) more, really good graphics and interface, works faster than eBuddy and consumes less kbs (doesn't matter but it is a plus point)

eBuddy has major connectivity issues for me. if the GPRS is unavailable for just a few seconds it disconnects. And worst of all seems to double post some messages I send so my friends get really annoyed whenever I use it. It's a good app, just flawed.

On Three-UK, there is an official Windows Live Messenger app on their branded Sony Ericsson phones which I've tried and is awesome. It only seems to be on their firmware...is there anywhere I could download it?

Here you go:

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mwgwmnomdvz

has the JAD and JAR from W995 3 UK branded firmware, along with the security certificates that come with that firmware (they might be needed)

I tried it on my phone, but got an error that I needed to authorize network access or something like that; probably it only works for people on the 3 network but maybe someone can tinker with it, who knows. smile.gif
