Full Version: W995 - How Do You Load Cam Drivers? (complete Noob)

Just got the phone and love it, apart from the camera. I've spent a good few days looking through all the cam driver threads and want to have a go at loading Jock or Rodriguez's new cam drivers but don't know where to start. The lingo that's used in some of those threads just reads like rocket science to me so I'm stumped. It looks like I need a2uploader (?) but I can't find a working download link. Once I've downloaded it where do I go?.........I've read a tutorial on how to use this app but even this was confusing. I'm not a total muppet, I just need a simple intro without the use acronyms and I'll be laughing..........any help at all for a complete novice would be very much apprecited.... thumbsup.gif

download & unzip this file below:-
http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=zx4q6zg64fd
Edit:- New Link.. It works

BTW, few anti-virus software "may" give warning after downloading/un'rar'ing the file above. ignore the warning.. the file is 100% clean...

1) install ggsetup-2.2.0.3.exe.....
2) switch off your phone...
3) remove and re-insert you battery (but dont switch it on now)
4) run a2uploader.exe
5) click on "files system tool" (you can see that button in the right side)
6) now, connect the mobile to the computer WHILE pressing "c" button on your mobile... and keep that pressed until you see a list of files and folder at the right side of the a2uploader.... [Important]
7) now you can release "c" button
8) browse to ifs/settings/camera folder (in a2uploader's right side)
9) drag & drop the new "camdriver0.dat" file, which you download, into that folder... (this is the camera driver file, you download from the camera drivers thread.... though you have to unzip the driver to see this file) it will replace your old driver file..
[careful:- dont delete anything else]
10) click on red "shutdown fs manager" button below the a2uploader file browser....
11) disconnect the mobile from computer.
12) remove & re-insert the battery..
13) switch it on and wait for 3-4 min and start taking pictures with new cam driver

Thanks for the reply, exactly what I needed, it makes a lot more sense now. Problem is with the download of the rar file, only the ggsetup-2.2.0.3.exe file works as this installed fine but a2uploader.exe simply will not run no matter what I do. I'm running Windows 7 but this shouldn't affect it unless anyone knows different and my antivirus is convinced that a2uploader.exe is a Trojan Horse dispite my telling it otherwise.....are there any other sites that a2uploader can be downloaded from or can anyone shed some light on this?
Boysie
It is not a virus. Disable your av or add the exe to the exceptions list. smile.gif

There is a error called "000A" when I was using A2uploader to upgrade my camera driver. What's the problem?
