Convert BROWN to RED using DCU-60 for K750/D750/W800/Z520 (CID36 only)

1. Get the latest SE Flash plugin by Darkmen (v.10 or higher)

2. Go to Flash folder in your phone

3. Copy erom_db2010_red36_44000000_00020000.raw from attached archive to this Flash folder:
  • Select Flash raw image option and check that address is 44000000 and length is 20000 according to the screenshot:

    Press Flash
  • Confirm flashing erom by pressing Yes
  • Flashing is in process...
  • Complete
4. Turn on your phone, now it's RED and ready for SEUS smile.gif

only_choice
thx for the reply

do you mean by selecting the k750_w800_CID36 before i connect?
if so then i did, and i hav a w800 R1AA008 BROWN

additional advices are appreciated
the doc
Thnx m8 will try it l8r
anewman
Did not work for me. Followed instructions precisely and flashed phone. SEUS still tells me I have the latest version and I only have R1AA008.
jagheterfredrik
Depends on your CDA aswell... Which CDA are you using?
anewman
I managed to get SEUS to update my phone using the instructions for converting a k750 to w800i here, http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=3996 although I did it with a w800i. I think it may have been that my phone was an O2 one. Doesn't seem like anything much has improved though I'm still having bluetooth problems. Will look for appropriate forum and post my question about my bt probs.

I've made all correct and now my k750 don't turn on.... blink.gif

Pull the battery out, put it in and try to turn it on again.

If you flashed to the wrong CID phone or flashed the wrong byte range (i.e. did not follow the instructions precisely) you may have bricked your phone. But having to take the battery out is a usual thing.

If your phone has no CDA number which it looks like from that text dump ; seus does not know which firmware to give you.
daremo
my k750 brown reads 4400 0000 00002C84 could I still flash it with the downloaded erom red ?

jagheterfredrik
Did you buy it second hand ? Your EROM is damaged, you'll need a service-cable to fix it.
lapwing
noooooo it's new

when i bye it it's brown and i flash it to red and work ok

and now i flash it back to brown and i sure i write the file to 44000 000

jagheterfredrik
If you can't get it recognized by the computer it's EROM-damaged and you need it repaired with a service-cable.
lapwing
what is the servic-cable

i'm try to use setoll 2 in topsony web site but it's tel me usb iterface not supported here

Successfully changed my phone from Brown to Red. (W800c). Then flashed to the newest firmware. Worked like a charm. I thank you, and you saved me 37 bucks for a cable.

jagheterfredrik
"An error" is not a lot of information. (=More information please)
azreerml
thanks jagheterfredrik... the "an error" that i just mention is because the first time i try to flash, it didn't work.. and iam afraid i might lose my k750..because the FAR manager did told me that there was an error.. and i just shut down the FAR manager without looking at the error...

an right now..

i am happy because my k750 is RED... and now i can convert it to w800..

jagheterfredrik
You might want to try GFlash;
http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=5025
remember to backup your contacts first, try myPhoneExplorer to do that ( here ).
azreerml

sorry for my poor english....
njh
@jagheterfredrik

I got the same problem just like the others who got this 'error 0' while flashing it to Red using Far Manager. I tried 3 times but I still having the same problem, after flashing it to Red using Gflash it shown (successfully flashed - I forgotten the words it use to show complete). I removed the battery and put it back just like usual (after patch or flash or changing other files on TPA), i can't boot. This is my friends phone he bought it early of this year, I'm not sure if he bought a 2nd hand or new. But there's something wrong with the phone before i flashed it to Red, when i plug in the USB cable to browse through the MSPD stick (to view some pictures) or charge the phone just like any other K750i or W800i or even mine.. i disassemble/ dismantle this phone to check whether the port is not properly connected and to check the pin is torn or whatever loosen thing that might cause the USB cable to unable to connect. In the end I use my hand to grab the phone to connect the phone with USB cable without the phone chassis without camera and speaker. I knew it's Brown when I done dismantle this phone using my hand to manually connect to check the phone's detail (CID) just like the way I convert it to Red previously. If the erom is damage what should i do? the phone don't even start with FAR or Gflash or replace with a fresh a battery..

2.Can you post a picture of Service Cable? Cost? Where i can buy one?

Regards
Nelson@njh

@jagheterfredrik

Is this the one? http://www.service4handys.de/shop/index.ph...product=A000609

Nelson@njh
jagheterfredrik
1. Try davinci 13.8 recovery (with service-cable)

2. Yes that's the one.

@jagheterfredrik

Just to let you know that my handset is not fully repaired but it has revived by SeTool (now it's Red), but now my phone start without LCD lights..
before this the story goes like this >
I met a phone technician who works in a city at a SE shop(Authorised Service Center), he told me to sell my phone at 1st. So i told him that i wouldn't sold it to anyone, after he heard me saying that i'm not selling it. He told me that he will try his best to revive the dead phone. An hour later he says that my phone has been revived and then he told me that the phone automatically switch off after 1 minute bootup. And now i'm thinking.. what's gonna to do with the LCD if the phone has been revived or changed to Red? because previously I convert it to CID36 brown > red and it was dead due to unknown reason maybe the phone's port doesn't work (my previous post - I dismatle it to connect to USB cable with my barehand to successfully flash it to Red). Maybe that time i broke the LCD flex cable or some other things.. Now he sms me to change the LCD.. proceed? i think it will be costly..

Do anyone knows how to fix or has experience in LCD without lights? Any solution?

Now I'm gonna Buy a K700 USB cable and mod it into Cruiser Cable with K750 USB cable from Darkmen. No need to send to SE Shop.

i tried to convert my brown phone to red, but stuck at this point.

the click to copy...

i never saw this window:

so what is the problem? how can i do it right way?
eyeyousee
there isn't any problem with that window.

the problem is, do you know what you're doing?

'coz this operation can kill your phone!

but if you're brave enough, just press or click "COPY"

and it will be transfered to your phone's erom.

but, another reminder, you better prepare your MAIN and FS files.

it should be for RED CID36 firmwares, make sure of that!

same thing if you have a CID46.

'coz you will have to reflash the whole firmware to red cid36 after flashing your erom!

better read some more here! (SE-nse forum).

then if everything is ready, including your self,

it's all up to you then.

don't worry! people here will help you!

read some more!

To eyeyousee:
Actually i wanted to flash to the latest k750i firmware, but i have brown phone.
i downloaded these 2 files from topsony:
K750_R1CA021_FS_EMEA_4_RED36.fbn
K750_R1CA021_MAIN_EU_1_CL_RED36.mbn
GFlash do not want to flash it, maybe because its brown.
Baseband ID: 8040
Protocol Version: 3.1
Flash ID: 890D
Phone color: BROWN
Phone is CID36
OTP Status: 0 PAF1 CID: 36
IMEI: 3565**********
Execution time: 00:00.171

im really scared as censored.gif of this operation by far manager.
you say that after i click the copy there will be the flash window where i can enter the parameters?
in GFlash there is another way to converting red in the repair tab. which is the better way to converting to red? far or gflash? im scared a lil bit of both.
silverbullet_420
hi guys how i will convert my k750i cid 49 brown to red???? help me plzzzzzzzzzz
eyeyousee
FAR- brown to red
eyeyousee
to CZIUM:

With Gflash. (cid36 only)

- Install the latest usb flash driver.

- make sure that your battery is fully charged! (At least 85% up)

- Prepare all the correct main and fs files (should be same versions and phone models)
(main red cid36 and fs red cid36)

- Much better if, before you start Gflash that
your phone already turned off and dettached battery.

- Avoid disconnecting the phone while in flashing process!

FLASHING EROM - BROWN CID36 TO RED CID 36 ONLY!

Under the "REPAIR/GDFS/PATCHING" tab,

enter the RED CID36 RAW erom file (make sure it's RAW)

ex. RED_CID36.Erom (download from topsony)

i think you already know that.(based on your attached pict.)

put the battery back in. (do not connect your phone, not yet!)

then click the "REPAIR/GDFS/PATCH" button

you will get this message:

GFlash version 2.0 beta 6
**** REPAIRING/PATCHING STARTED ****
Turn off the phone.
Hold "C" button and plug USB cable.

as instructed, hold the "c" button and plug it to the usb cable.
(release "c" button only when flashing process is already starting)

and just wait till it's done.(in just a minute or less)

do not shut down Gflash.

disconnect your phone from the usb cable,

but DO NOT TURN IT ON!

remove the battery for a few seconds.

place it back in. (do not connect the cable, not yet!)

-FIRMWARE FLASHING (CID36 ONLY)

go to the "FLASHING" button

enter your RED CID36 main and fs files in each corresponding drop down tabs.

(For newbies, always use the same firmware versions and phone models of course.)
(k750 cid36 main & fs files or if you want to upgrade your phone to w800 main and fs files)

check this informative thread by "the main man" jagheterfredrik

using Gflash

don't forget to choose the phone model you want,
only two choices there! (k750 & w800)

with GFlash CDA is already available,
just check this for guide lines.
