Hey everyone. My w760 is already debranded, I have connected it to A3 Uploader before. But now, when I connect it the new device hardware icon comes up in the windows toolbar and the computer freezes. Why can't I connect and why does it want drivers?

Try reinstalling the drivers. What OS/Service pack are you running?

Using XP SP3. I have tried installing and reinstalling Gordons gates drivers twice with no luck. Are these the right drivers for A2 uploader?

If i remember, people with XP SP3 do have problems with connecting.

Have you tried connecting on another computer which does not have XP SP3?

Yeah SP3 sucks. Unfortunately I think going back to SP2 is the only solution I can think of.

You could try installing the drivers under safe mode, using the guide in my signature as a guide line.

But to completely get rid of SP3 (which a computer shop has tried recommending to me today. Told them theres media issues with SP3) you have to reinstall windows XP SP2. If you try to uninstall SP3 certain things will not work (like the keyboard and mouse from when I tried it)

Makes you wonder why Microsoft hasn't fixed this.

Because they want you to buy Vista, or windows se7en

Ok so should I just try to connect my phone when I'm in safe mode?

Yes, just to get the drivers installed, but once they are done reboot the computer into normal mode and see if it will work then
