I know that can change the CDA using file customize_upgrade.xml uploaded to the folder tpa/preset/custom, and then reset the phone.

But that does not work for me. I want to have a clean firmware. SEUS still says that I have the latest software.

Is there some other way to change the CDA?

My used file customize_upgrade.xml:

Why don't you flash fresh firmware with A2 uploader?

try changing revision to R1A else reflash to old firmware manually and then update

jock, If I had the old firmware R3EA031 then SEUS still only says that I have the latest software. Changing the CDA does not work.

Are you connecting when holding C to SEUS? My phone wont be reflashed if i hold 2+5, but C.

This is about W595, right? And wich language/ custom pack are you? Central Europe?

This site has made me much happier about my SE w760i, i was covered in crappy O2 things like a forced homepage to O2 etc and no sat nav (it was payg) i worked out after a lil wile how to debrand it of this site, via opening A2 uploaded copying the cust. file into the folder stated rebooting the phone then using SEUS. Very good, now i have the phone working really well on three, and i have access to the way finder satnav. Just wish three has better 3g/hspda coverage, i can only use orange gsm so things are a bit slow.

correct me if i'm wrong but i'm sure that the CDA change is made to the GDFS and not the Customize.xml (i have tested)

check if your cda changed by going into the software menu (>*<<*<*)
if its still the branded CDA then you haven't done it properly.

otherwise flash with a2uploader

dammit, i cant find anywere were the new firmware has been uploaded what if i change my phone back to red update with seus and then convert back to brown?

actually are you certain of that i read somewere that in order to update to latest firmware with seus to flash back to R3EA037 and then try again with seus.

SEUS wont update A2 CID, so no worries mate

Convert to RED, update and convert back to BROWN.

i just converted my phone back to red retail state went to update with seus and the same thing says that i already have the latest firmware!

Thanks and i just upload that as customize_upgrade.xml? because i have another file in tpa/preset/custom name customize.xml and that also has the cda region xml in it.

ok no worries ill try it now.

ok i tried what you said blacklizard used the customize_upgrade.xml you provided me and changed my phone back to red and guess what i still get the same problem so now am taking my firmware back to older firmware see if that has an effect.

update- going backto old firmware worked just fine it installing now just a quick question is there anyway i can extract the new firmware off my phone to save others the misery of this whole procedure?
