Full Version: W810i Wsod, Now Loading To Sony Logo

Hi, I'm sure a sony ericsson expert here can help me with this.
I had the phone start with a blank white screen - I suppose that's called the WSOD.
Now, I've reflashed and its starting up the Sony Ericsson logo, but it stops there.
I've played around and changed the CUSTPACK, and it onced reached a "Walkman" logo and went "ding".
Right now, it's starting up with just the Sony Ericsson logo. I haven't tried SEUS yet.

Can anyone help?

Tempted to say GDFS damage, but it could also be EROM

cchaos, I thought that when EROM is damaged, the phone won't start - just red LED blinking...

Yep, I got a GDFS backup, well I backed it up before I started flashing the phone.

So far I realised that straight after I flash the phone MAIN/FS/CUSTPACK then I can boot to the logo, the next time I turn it on, it stops at a blank white screen.

Flash the GDFS back up and hope/pray it fixes it. smile.gif

Before I try, could it make it any worse than it already is?

Lets face it, it can't really get much worse! tongue.gif As long as the GDFS is from YOUR phone (which it is) it can only make it better. If it doesn't work after, then you may need to take to a repair center.

I take the Back up is from before you started getting problems?

The backup was made before I started any firmware flashing. But i took the backup when I started getting the white screen.

It might or might not solve it, but could be worth a go

Its the only option at the moment. Like you say, it'll either work or not.

damn, its the only option? well i've tried it, no luck unfortunately, but it did restore successfully (used XS++)
