hi there. my W995 is arriving on monday and i'm interested in modding it. before i do that, i have a question:

when designing a flash lite menu, can you add menu items (such as shortcuts for applications, for example) or do you have to stick with the conventional 12 menu items?

if so, can you have more than12 menu items on the same menu screen?

The W995 is a Flash Lite 2.1 phone ... the Menu depends entirely on the Menu.ml file. However the restriction is that only the 12 items on the Main Menu can be launched with a flash menu. So basically the Flash Lite Menu cannot launch a submenu item without editing the menu.ml.

So in short, you need to edit the menu.ml for anything you wish.

Yes, the menu.ml is the key.

Im not sure about the 12 elements part .... I dont know if anyone has tried for more/less items on their menu.

It depends on how you make the menu, you can have how many icons you like as long as their shortcut is in the menu.ml just like all other phones
