Hi there everyone! It's been a while since I've been to these forums since my s500i died a year and half ago xD.
So, I've come back to the sony ericsson side of the world since Nokia phone's just infuriate me now.

I used to be pretty good with XS++ but I have a couple newby questions;
I also just purchased a Sony Ericsson c901

1. I'm pretty sure, but XS++ doesn't work with phones that A2Uploader works with?

2. The problem with a newish phone; but is the C901 not supported with either one of those flashing programs?

Thank you very much smile.gif

Yeah, I've been trying with the A2Uploader but I'm getting a weird problem.
When I try to turn the phone on by holding C and then powering up, it will come up with diagnostic mode thing, but then the phone will power off again and turn back on into regular mass storage mode.

Probably means the A2 doesn't support my phone yet? :T

Why are you trying to turn the phone ON while holding C? Phone needs to be OFF while connecting to A2uploader. And make sure you have the flash drivers installed. smile.gif

I know that! So wait, am I not supposed to connect the Phone to the USB cable while its off, and then hold C and turn the phone on, and then let go of C?

And I do have the flash drivers installed laugh.gif

::EDiT::
Okay, I am a gigantic idiot.

So I plugged in the phone with the USB cable while holding C and while its off. But the phone still jumps to mass storage mode instead of just staying off like a good phone. Any ideas why? :T

Also, it says "booting access cpu" and then the phone jumps into mass storage mode. Whatever mode the phone is supposted to be on when you hold C (the SMCA or whatever) doesn't stay and the phone turns on by itself when I start A2

Hold the C button until the A2Uploader indentifys your phone. Don't relase when you pluged in.

It can't even identify it. I tried holding C until it would identify it but the phone still turns on and goes into Mass Storage mode.

Any ideas anyone? :T

The flash drivers don't seem to be working correctly. Try reinstalling them. smile.gif

What OS are you running?

I'm running Microsoft Windows XP Professional w/ SP3
but I've also tried this on Windows 7 and Windows Vista x86 and x64. Same issue across the board

To be honest I dont think that they would work in the new phone anyway (different flashlite version)
chingoo
Not those exact themes, but I've found some that work for the new Flashlite version that I like alot. I meant that I want the ability to flash menus like I was able to do on my s500i tongue.gif

But, tried different cables, no go still :T

Hi all!

I have the same problem, A2uploader just wont recognize my phone. When I connect it a2uploader just says

ChipID:E800,EMP protocol:0401

PHONE STATE: "RETAIL"
FLASH CID: 0053
Elapsed:6 secs.
and does nothing else. Has anybody else encountered this problem and what could be the solution? Im on Win XP.

Use the latest version of A2Uploader. wink.gif

I am using A2uploader v3. If there is something newer could someone post a link to it, or is there any minor update to a2uploader?
Boysie
You have CID53 so you need the version that has limited CID53 support. Here...

Ill try that in a minute.

Thank you for quick reply smile.gif
