Hi í'm a sonyericsson user and I wanted to know if any of you guys could upload the facebook app for me, because I've downloaded the firmware's of both C510i and W995 wich are supposed to come with the facebook app but in java section of the folder it is nowhere to be found.
And since I'm blessed with an unlimited data account on my W910i it would really come in handy

Funny but my w995 has it on the main menu;
Facebook key, main menu, upper left key above the Green call key.

Noticed that some models don't have it because it's regional.

Bought my phone in HK where SE promote the Facebook feature on the phone (at least in the HK/Asian markets).

Many users from Europe state that no Facebook key is on their main menu!

It doesnt bring anything up on my home screen?!?

Okay so i do not have a data plan but i do have WIFI and i have noticed some apps allow me to connect with it (such as youtube) and some dont like facebook and msn is there a way i can connect to everything with WIFI?

how do you enable the info on the mainscreen? i've got a c510 and it worked fine yesterday, but after i updated the phone it's not working anymore, i noticed one thing tho, there was 2 facebook apps on my phone, and i belive one was called facebook mainmenu.jar and the other one was just facebook main.jar

Besides that, does anyone have a c510 with the app on who can verify, and maybe share it with me.

Hi I downloaded the Facebook application from this thread. I installed it and I switch it on. I wrote my login and password and press "log in". It took a long time but on the end is the communique (Login Failed). Every time I try Log in it's allways the same communique. What should I do ?

Kev, put that file in the 'Other' folder. You can create a new folder called 'Temp' inside the Other folder just to make it easily remember.
Now disconnect the phone from computer and look for that file in the Other folder(through file manager). press install and install it in Applications.
Now you will see that program in the Applications folder. run from there.

Check network settings, and dont quote your same post. Maybe someone was working on a fix.

Network settings are set good. Because I'm using opera mini so they must be set good. I was wondering about my problem with facebook and I think the problem is in java version in phone or my location (Poland). Meybe the facebook application is in new java version.

Hi,
The dedicated facebook logo and shortcut in the standby screen is not regional.
When you go to the Options meny you will see an option called Show in Standby- on or off.
Asuming that you have turned this setting on by default- When you exit the facebook app without signing out, it will show on the main standby screen. If you sign out and then turn off the app, it wont appear in standby.
