I've never done any modding yet to my phone but apparently nobody like the s500 and everywhere i read somthing along the lines of cross flashing it to the w580 comes up. SoOOOo just a general question about the firmware and CID before i start:

Which w580 firmware and CID should i put on my phone???

there are three kinds of firmware and a bunch of CID.
Which would be easier to deal with when applying elfpacks and all the other cool mods?

First, we need to establish what CID your phone is.

Follow the guide to flash drivers in my signature, then download XS++ (3.1), take out the sim and memory card, put the battery back in and connect the cable whilst holding 'c'. Then, once its done, then go back into the settings tab, and click on disconnect. Reinsert sim and memory card, and paste the log into this topic.

Will the Everchanging Theme from my s500i work for my newly flashed w580? I ask this because my friend has a w580 and i gave him my everchanging theme and it didn't work fully

Not sure: I would of thought it would do, but if it didnt work on the w580 of your friends, then Im also inclinded to say it wont.

Yeah that uses the acccelometer (which isnt on the s500)
