Hi, I'm noob here, and i read some tutorial to unlock my SE k550i to use other networks.
But I have some problem to finalize the process.

Well,

First of all I have downloaded XS++, and i plug the phone to see what is the firmware version etc...

and i obtain this (this data is after falsh, I don't remember the previous one):

Profiling SEMC phone...
Platform: DB2020
OTP CID: 51
EROM CID: 52
EROM Color: Red
IMEI: 35665701xxxxxx
Phone ID: K550
Region: EUROPE_1
CDA: CDA102743/26 R4A
Firmware Version: R6BC002
EROM: R3A022

I goes to seusers.com and I download the following firmware:

Main firmware:
K550_R6BC002_MAIN_GENERIC_LI_RED52.mbn

FS:
K550_R6BC002_FS_EUROPE_1_RED52.fbn

Custom Pack:
K550i_CDA102743_26_R4A_Optimus_Portugal

I have tied to flash it with XS++, and works ok. I have also tried with jdflasher with Far Manager using option oflash. all work fine.

The problem start now:

I create: quick_access_K550_R6BC002.vkp with qamaker using jdflasher with Q2020 option ( 4 files) or with SeTool 2 Lite - 1.11.

And I create Remove_SIM_lock_K550_R6BC002_GENERIC.vkp from main firmware with SIMLockPatchGen_v2.2:

Now the problem is, when i try to use jdflasher using bflash like i have done with oflash the program tells me 'wrong script'
I used db2020 script. I don't know why it flash the firmware with oflash and with bflash I have this error.

Well instead i have used SeTool 2 Lite - 1.11 to applied the patch. But after applied the 2 .vkp the phone don't turn on!

I need to re-flash to it becomes ok, and turn on!

But I don't know how? and where? i have done something wrong, can anyone help me please, thanks

Maybe you need a REST file for your phone in the SETool2Lite directory? Make one with mkrest.exe smile.gif

You apply the QA patch, then connect using the QA patch to add other patches (in this case: the unlocking patch)

JD flasher: Create the QA patch (main onto QAMaker.exe) connect using db2020 script. Enter bflash. Follow the prompts on screen. Flash the main (by dragging it to the pane where the phone is connected: first dialog box is a copy, so that will be ok, then the second box you want as a BABE image), then find the QA patch you made, copy that across, then select "as a vkp patch" then yeah flash it. Disconnect by clicking the .. until it asks are you sure, say yes. Then take battery out for twenty seconds, then reinsert it, do not turn it on. Reconnect to JD flasher, this time using the QA2020 script, enter bflash, then simply drag the unlocking patch to the phone (same method as when you done the QA patch, except you dont need to flash the main). Click on the .. until it asks are you sure, click yes. Take battery out, wait 20 seconds, then put the battery back in, and turn on.

You should then have an unlocked phone.

Thanks, but i had followed that tutorial. Like I said, when i tried to 'Enter bflash' i had an error: wrong script.
I'm using db2020 script. It works fine with 'oflash' but didn't work with 'bflash'!

What the mkrest do? Where i can found a tutorial?

You dont need rest files: they was for db2010.

Ok, lets take it from the top:@ have you got the latest JD flasher?

Have you also got every add-on (inc for db2020 patching?)

Thanks i re-download the JD flasher and i had success, maybe it was a corrupt file!

Thanks anyway!

I have a doubt, now if I update firmware from sony ericsson site, the phone maintains unlocked, or it will be locked again?

It will be locked again, as it is a patch that you used.

Also, your CID will be updated to CID53 (assuming that you will use SEUS) - whilst this is actually patchable, the method of patching is a little more complicated
