I'm trying to unlock my W350 phone which I just got given. I have been doing some research on what I need to do but for some reason I cannot find a USB Driver for windows XP. Can anyone here supply me with a link for a XP USB driver, please.

I have just installed the driver but XS++ is still not picking up my phone on windows XP. Any ideas as to why this is not working? All I want to do is make a back up of my phone, then unlock the phone.

Is it really this complicated?

Quick Question

The phone I got given has no Sim Card and was on the Virgin Media Phone network. Do I have to have the original sim card do unlock the phone. When ever I turn the phone on I get a message "Insert correct SIM card. at the moment I have just put in a non registered Orange SIm card in the phone.

The w350 is a PNX platform - which cannot be patched for free: you need setool box (both hardware and software - this is how its not free.)

It may also be possible to unlock your phone by online clients, but again you have to pay for it (please dont ask me which ones though)

So there is no way to unlock this phone for free. Could you tell me why some phones can be unlock for free, and some cannot. Are there any app out there that can tell you this simple information.

All A2 phones can be permanently unlocked for free, and DB20XX phones can be patch unlocked for free
