Hello,

I'm new around here and I have the following problem:

I have a W902 and I want to add/replace another language on it, one that is not included in the current firmware.

I have installed PC Suite, Update Service and all the drivers the two apps included.

When I start XS++ and connect to the phone. I get the following output:

I'm trying to find out CID and EROM color and move on from there, but I'm stuck at step 1.

I'm using Windows 7 x64, and drivers supplied by SE with the PC Suite and the Update Service.

I'd say, use a Generic CDA for your region and let SEUS flash

how exactly do you modify to Generic CDA?

i\ve used a2 cda file generator, placed under tpm but seus does not offer to either update the firmware or reflash the current one.

a2 uploader also indentifes the devices with the previous language pack

Upload the generated customize_upgrade.xml file to tpa/preset/custom/, boot your phone till the please wait screen goes away, then shut it off and then update with SEUS

if i upload customize_upgrade.xml with changed region code , SEUS will not offer to reflash the device
if i upload customize_upgrade.xml wih default data (1214 - 7138), SEUS will offer to reflash the device

any alternatives?

It worked by selecting another region that contained my language (i've copied data from another device with the language pack that i wanted). SEUS offered to reflash the device and I took it!

10x everyone, I'll be sure to keep an eye on interesting stuff around here. Come to think of it, what do you guys suggest I do next? Are there any improvements for the camera software? Seem a bit on the overbright side, at the moment.

I don't know if any modded drivers for W902 exist, you could try searching for Brazzuka's drivers, maybe he has made one.

You could also modify your Walkman layout, and add custom acoustics/flash themes/...

I don't know

. If you want to add Chinese, you can't simply add a file, you'll have to flash your FW to get it. I know Japanese is different from Chinese, but I find it very probable you have to flash the FW too instead of simply adding the .lng files

I tried to find japanese firmware but it seems there isn't one, only central asia. Guess I just need to bear with this good-for-nothing phone..

U can make ur own language by editing *.lng and t9 but it wont work perfectly like u got it from SE

I think japanese language is not available for all our phones except those in Japan.
