i had this cellphone unlocked and upgraded, what i wanna know now is, can i flash it to any type of red cid 49 firmware using setools or xs++ and a dcu60 cable, if i can which firmware would be best for the job?

I'd use XS++ for flashing. Search Iprotebe or SEUsers for FW

If you want to use RED firmware you'll have to convert the EROM to RED first. You need a service cable for that.

Really? I thought you could easily flash RED FW on a BROWN phone with JDFlasher

see, i read a lot of tutorials and topics out there when this phone was still on k750 brown cid 49 firmware about converting it to red with dcu60. it said it couldn't be done. could anybode, please, give me some links to a tutorial or something? i know brown cid 36 can easily be changed to red with dcu60 cable and jdflasher but i'm not sure about brown 49.

Brown CID49 can be flashed and patched by JD flasher - so why convert it?

You cant flash red firmware to a brown phone (well, you can, but you will end up with a dead phone)

what i wanna know now is, can i apply patches made for the same firmware (r1aa008) but not for w800 (cause there are only a few patches available) but for k750? will i brick my phone if i try that using xs++

Patches are FW and phone dependant, so it's a no I'm afraid
