Due to a slight manufacturing flaw in K750s, you may find that your phone develops a fault where the camera application exits the instant you open it (either by opening the lens cover or via the menu.)
If this happens, it's because the connection between the camera module and the mainboard has come loose. Here's how to fix it...
1. Follow the guide to opening the
K750 up to and including the stage where you remove the display. You do not need to remove the rear cover (the part with the lens cover on it).
http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=8702. You'll notice a connector running from the mainboard, through a hole, to the camera module. It's pretty springy and this raises it off the motherboard, putting a little strain on the connector which joins to the camera module. Press down on the brown/black connector in the hole and you'll notice a little give because it will have come loose over time. Just to make sure, press down on the other end of the connector where it joins the motherboard.
3. Re-attach the display and keypad, and without re-clipping the cover, quickly test the phone by re-inserting the battery (with sim card inserted) and trying the camera. If all is working, remove the battery and re-attach the cover using the guide at:
http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=870If the camera still isn't working, try again - you might need to remove the connector between the camera module and the motherboard and re-attach it.
or you can reflash the phone with another firware.
It happend to me.. and I'm sure that the reason was the FW... because after flash... it was everything OK.

It may also be a case of a camera switch coming loose, another common occurance. If this happens you might find my
Set Faulty Camera Switch to Permanent "ON" thread useful.
You might also try resoldering the switch, or simply replacing the ribbon cable.
Ixalon's trick is the first thing you should try, though if you are in need of a reflash, gxg's trick might help also.
Depends what the problem is really

Thanks.
Worked for me, never thought of the camera end of the connector.
Anyone know of a way to switch the w800i on without using the power button, I broke the little switch in side

can only turn it on by plugging it into the computer now.
The
k750 you could press the vodofone button to turn on.
Hello!
New to this forum, but great to find help for this problem;
AS soon as I take a picture, the camera exists instead of saving the picture.
Removing and replacing the memory card solves the problem for a couple of pictures, then it comes back.
Any sugestions?
Thanks!!

I just reset the phone formated the card, and things are the same.
I noticed now that the problem is saving the picture to the card, I changed it to phone memory and works ok.
I can then transfer the pics to the card withought problem, any ideas?
thanks!

Did you opened your housing before it happens? Your camera latch switch might be broken.

Anyone have this problem ?
Cant capture any picture with K770i. When u open lens cover, it shows a black screen and the usual selections like view, setting, 3mp . . etc BUT NO IMAGE of whatever u are taking ! If clicked button to capture, there is a shutter sound, but if u view files, there would be a message NO FILE !
The phone works fine all other functions.
Any idea what is the problem and how to fix ?
Many Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem, you must remove your lens cover, complete, and after that take needle, or something and manualy turn on your camera switch...
I tried all the three steps but nothing. But I should say, I didn't get the second point clearly.

All I did was, press the black/brown connecter. Is there anything else to do ?
I have exactly the same problem

it worked for me but unfortunately back lens cover botton has been broken by me accidently.
I have read a thread here for soldering it but I want to change the switch is it possible?
I'm new here and I didn't find any thread to change back cover lense switch of SE

Thanks
Now I will fix my brother's SE
