Full Version: [w910i] Accelerometer And Videocall Camera Problem !
SE-NSE Forums > SE Hardware > Hardware Discussion

Today, while i was listening to music i saw that the player refuses to go Landscape. I though that is a little error, so i just turned my phone off and on . Nothing changed after restart . Then , i get on service menu to test the Accelerometer, but the accelerometer refused to start. I knew that something was wrong. After some time, i saw that videocall camera was also "dead" and refuses to start.
Suddently .. all functions came back , but after a short time, they got "dead" again.

The phone is 6 weeks old.

What could be?

P.S : Sorry for my bad english. If you don't understand something, ask me and I will try to explain better.

What FW version are you running? Check it via Menu>Settings>Update Service>SW Version

R1FA035. I think is the last one.

Noticed that accelerometer and videocall camera works fine since last night when i pressed easly with my fingers around videocall camera.

I think is just a bad contact, and when this will happen again i will dissasembly and check.

I have w910i 9 months old. Until 2 days back i had r1fa035 firmware version. It had infinite restart problems.all the settings used to get reset and theme back to walkman whenever it restarted..but then i manually updated it with a2uploader. Now i have r1fa037 latest firmware. Its quite stable version.my phone didnt hang or restart even once from last two days since update.. But a new issue has arisen. The accelerometer doesnt work.its even set to autorotate. And the shake control in music player also doesn't work at all..can anyone help guys..?

Could be due to a possibly incomplete flashing. Did you flash the FS too?

the accelerometer tends to get stuck happy.gif
go into the service menu and look at the accelerometer settings, if the Z-value is stuck, just lightly but FIRMLY hit the back against your palm. It'll get unstuck. It happens really often for me so i don't think its a software issue sad.gif

My phone works good by around 2 months. I said I'm gonna open his case to look at contacts. I didn't found a good screw and the operation failed. But, i think i scared the phone and from that day everything works like a charm .

me.dhillon ,try if your videocall camera is working. If not , you must open your case and just reset your contacts .
