Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar plectrum or credit card.

* Remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card

* Run something like a credit card under the metal plate at the top of the phone. It is stuck down tight with double sided tape but it will come away with a little force.

* Now remove the two screws you can see.

* Starting near the top of the phone, run your credit card along the join of the front cover. When you have released the cover as much as shown below, slide the cover down to remove it (clips hold the cover on at the bottom which will be bent if you don't slide the cover off).

* You should now have the front cover removed. Remove the small screw you can see.

* With the slide open halfway, lift the up the part you've just removed the screw from to reveal three ribbon connectors. Each connector has a black latch which you need to flick over the release the ribbon.

* You now have the LCD screen removed. You don't need to go any further if you only want to replace the LCD.

* Remove the speaker and connecting ribbon etc. It's just stuck down lightly. Remove the two screws you can see at the top of the phone.

* You now need to lift the keypad up. It's stuck down lightly with double sided tape. Remove the two screws you can see.

* Run your credit card around the join of the grey part of the phone to release a number of clips. Turn the phone over and release a few more clips in the battery compartment.

* Your phone should now look like below. Two small bezels (shown in the picture) will pop off when you remove the back part of the phone. Now remove the two silver screws you can see.

* You can now remove the battery compartment. A ribbon is stuck to the side of this and will peel away quite easily. Remove the two screws you can see.

* The circuit board will now be loose but still connected by a ribbon. Again, flick the black latch over to release the ribbon.

* Disassembly is complete. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.

I have a question. Does the W595 has 2 identical speakers?
Like this one ?
Because i have to replace the low speaker on my W595 and i'm afraid that the low speaker differs from the upper one.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

I'm fairly positive that the two speakers are different yep, you can hear that one is smaller than the other too.

Damn sad.gif
Please tell me something. From the last picture the lower speaker is that rounded one?
Because on the site that i gave the link they only have the upper speaker and that's stupid if you think about it angry.gif

I am so not going to try this on my W595 tongue.gif

Corman, please tell me, i tried a stereo mp3 for a test and the lower speaker works happy.gif but it's volume is very low, on max volume i can barely hear it.
What may be the cause of this? sad.gif(

I'm at my house at sea now, and I don't have my USB cable with me, nor is my laptop equipped with BlueTooth. I'll try when I come home smile.gif

I don't know about the differences between the speakers, but the lower speaker has more bass then the upper une. It's like one for medium and low frequencies and the top one for high frequencies. And the speakers layout is not as it showed on the phone. Only the lower speaker is under the grill. The upper speaker is next to the camera

The thing is that the lowest speaker plays very low and i think i have to replace it but at the service they said that they can't do that because they can't find the correct speaker sad.gif
Is this speaker compatible with the one found on the bottom of W595 or this one?
Manny
I would search for a W595 speaker smile.gif

What i noticed on my V800 is that it used the external speaker for the lows, and the earpiece (which can be super-loud) for the highs. So when you closed the phone, music sounded quite bad tongue.gif!
