So by using this guide, is it possible to flash my G705 to W705/W715 now? It seems to be possible, but the limiting factor is that W715 is Vodafone only. Or has this been changed and now there's original Sony Ericsson firmware available?

Is there another way to do this flashing as well?

W715 isn't Vodafone limited: the Nordic regions enjoy the unbranded version

So I guess there's no Chinese support? There goes my intentions of changing my G705 to W715.

It’s simple; with a2uploader I uploaded the "nordic" firmware (W715_R1DA035_FS_NORDIC_RED52.fbn, W715_R1DA035_MAIN_GENERIC_NR_RED52.mbn and C905_1209-4769_R6A_GENERIC_NORDIC).
After that, I connected my phone to my wireless connection and I made an update using the phone. This update "transformed" R1DA035 to R1FA035 and I has uploaded the language pack "f" to the my phone

Wait, so you updated your phone using FOTA and your firmware was patially rewriten so now it's R1FA035? Is it still CID52?

Just tried FOTA. Didn't work...

Transformer step is the step when the phone "upgrade" to R1FA035.
try to reflash without the CDA, or with SE CDA File Maker v2.0 create a upgrade xml to "R1FA035"
I have forgot how to make this step

I have do this again (transform g705 in w715)
to put the phone with R1FA035 using FOTA you need to disconnect the battery after phone flash (W715_R1DA035_FS_NORDIC_RED52.fbn + W715_R1DA035_MAIN_GENERIC_NR_RED52.mbn + C905_1209-4769_R6A_GENERIC_NORDIC without the phone turns on)
remove the battery when loading bar is full (two times I thing) and now use FOTA

Er, how can I do FOTA if the phone isn't on? I don't get that...I need to get to the Settings menu in order to use FOTA...

You need to turn the phone on after flash the phone.
So, you flash, the phone will say "please wait" and after the loading bar comes to 100% remove the battery, two times I think, now you can use FOTA... For me results

Why would not work if you don't remove the battery and let the phone boot completely??

Cos otherwise your phone wont work if you dont take out the battery.

Also, if you dont boot it up completely, then the CDA trick will not work

Apparently the goal is to avoid writing or recording "something" of custom file in the phone, BUT the window "please wait" will continue to appear until the completion of all tasks in the custom file... so

Well I've given the benefit of the doubt, and it worked!!

In the first try, after the first 2 seconds of completing the bar, I remove the battery, then I restart, and "please wait" no longer appeared

then, the phone update service's (after a long long time) update R1DA035 to R1GA026

R1GA026 is the final version signed at 06/09/09 from what I can see, I think it can't be updated to R1FA035 (not so recent) in the present by this method,

....I'll have to wait to find some other language file compatible

I refuse to go back to W715 R1DA035. I've been spoiled by the G705 R1FA035.

I think there is no other way to change your G705 firmware to a current version of the W715...
anyway , I have experienced greater consummation of battery with the R1GA026 firmware, does anyone else have this problem?
I will try a little more, otherwise I return to the reliable R1EA033

To crossflash, you just download the W715 firmware that you want, along with the proper custpack. Then just use A2Uploader to flash the phone.

I believe you can Crossflash with the latest A2Uploader, but you need to find a W715 CID53 firmware first. Plus, G705 R1FA035 is much better than W715 R1DA035.

Yes, when you flash the W705 firmware on the G705 you would lose gps.

Later firmware revisions is usually better....
