Hey guys, i bought my sony ericsson c902 the week it came out in Europe. I did not touch it ( no modding etc) it had no problems.
After 2 months or so it would restart but it would happen very rarely. When the phone restarts, all the internal lights ( the keyboard, the screen, the camera button) all light up and stay on then it vibrates, turns off and turns back on to the main menu. sort of like the phone crashes and it restarts to fix itself. Now it happens very often ( every 10 minutes) and sometimes it gets stuck in restart loopholes ( it can restart for 1 hour straight) before the phone restarts the phone locks up or gets sluggish and then locks up. Even if i take the battery out and put it back in, the phone will still restart 40 seconds after I power it on and it wont stop restarting until it finishes its loophole. I need to let it restart about 16 times before it stops.

It seems to be an obvious software problem with this phone, because a lot of people have complained about this happening to their c902s but i have never seen a solution to this problem, people just mention it.

Any help would be gladly appreciated! to solving this mystery its really annoying, its a great phone but too bad i cant call anyone because it locks up and restarts in the midst of a conversation ( so frustrating!)

Try to update it with SEUS.

the software on my phone is up to date it said

What version do you have? To check, go to Menu>Settings>Update Service>Software Version

From what I see there, I'd say you are running an obsolete FW version. I'd have thought you'd run R3EA03x ...
Try changing your CDA with A2 CDA Generator to a generic one, and then try SEUS again.

my c902 hangs and restarts every 1 minute ... the strange thing about it if i leave mp3's playing the phone doesnt hang or restart ! .

my version was R3BA035 & i upgraded to latest version and still have the exact same problem

Bring it in for repair. I would have suggested a reflash, but since that didn't fix it, no other way

im not from uk and i had bought this phone 2hand from ebay uk , doubt in my country there r proper sony repair centres
