It's a fairly common occurrence upon
K850 owners, it's worth updating it with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) just for the off chance but the chances are that you're going to have to buy a replacement part to fix it.

DON'T DISASSEMBLE IT. If they found out you've no more free repair even under warranty
Mine are bugged aswell, cleaning the contacts helps a bit.

Having the same problems here what I have done so far is:
- Replaced Keypad (which has touch sensors & controller on)
- Re-Flashed Firmware more than once
Its better but still not perfect. I was told that taking it all apart and spraying the circuit board and connectors in WD40 may sort it. Is it worth a try?

It happened with my friends'
K850 too. I got him a New
K850 internal keypad and changed it myself. It got okay. No need for firmware reflash as suggested above.
I did disamble my phone and replaced the internal keypad with a new one. And now my phone works perfectly
Nice I am gonna replace the keyboard on my
C905 too
