Hello everyone,

If this has been addressed before and i've missed it then i apologise. I've got a w880i which was from O2 which they don't lock so i'm going straight to flash the firmware to de-brand it and eventually put those cool flash menus on it.

This is all the numbers off the phone:

R8BA024
EUROPE 2

I've got Far-manager with JDFlasher plugin and the following firmware ready to go:
W880_R8BA024_FS_S_E_EUROPE_RED53
W880_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_AI_RED53

...but when i try to connect the phone i get this error:

OpenPlugin (connecttophone (get cid(cant find device info in xml [53red)))

It does try to connect as it recognises the phone and starts loading what looks like a lot of code but then fails with this error. To me it looks like i'm missing an 'xml' file on the phone? Can anyone shed some light?

found an old post by searching for the error on Google, turns out i just needed to use the latest version of the JD Flasher plugin.

Phone is now flashed and all ok.

All i want to do now is add the flash style menu's
