Hi guys, I'm awaiting the arrival of my C905 and I can't wait! I thought I would create a thread specifically on the C905, because I haven't seen any that are really helpful. I've been reading through everything, and I'm still a little bit confused. Free unlocking for the C905 (A2 platform) is currently not available yet, hopefully it will be soon. I want to upgrade the firmware to R1BA042, but if it already has that on there, I wanted to unbrand it. I know I need to use XS++ but I need to know which files would be best to use.

Long story short, I bought this phone from someone on T-Mobile UK, and it should have the T-Mobile branded firmware on it. What firmware should I use for the FS file? For the MAIN, I downloaded the generic one. What would be best for use for the FS file? I'm located in the USA if that matters Also, what would be a good cust pack to use? I just don't wanna mess up something cause if I fry this phone, I'm SOL.

Also, is there any specific mods for the C905 or are the acoustic and cam drivers ok on it? Could someone please clear up everything for me and point me in the right direction? I wanna be prepared for when it shows up. Thanks

EDIT: And by the way, I got all my files from http://se-files.at/A2_DB3150/C905/ I just don't know what cust pack to choose.

Anything amercia souns good to me - just double check what you want the phone languages to speak (make sure the file system matches the same as the main firmware version)

And what does SOL mean?


One that matches the languages in the file system (ie if your file systems says amercia_1, use an amercia_1 custom pack)

To be honest, I cba to do that right now (it would mean a total change of the main youve downloaded already) so instead of your phone "speaking" amercain english, if you use these just set it to english but it will be british english until someone uploads an amercain FS and custom pack to that site:

Right, if you flash the main you downloaded (which Im assuming is the genric one?) you will be fine. Its just that the phone will speak british english rather than americain english

The amercain version of the firmware would say america_1 or america_2 in the file system and custom pack. The main would not need to be touched if it is genric

As for the differences between american english and british english, well all I can suggest really is that you google it cos Im not about to become a languages teacher, but basically things like spelling will be different

Ok, FINALLY got my phone! Now, I want to make sure I do everything correctly to unbrand this phone. There are no disadvantages to debranding, is there?

I have the MAIN and FS loaded into A2Uploader. But how do I do the CUSTOM pack? I need a very basic guide, and I'm looking for one on here. I just really don't want to brick my phone, so please help me ASAP. Thanks!

Battery at 100%? Sim out, memory stick out? Battery in but phone not turned on? Flash drivers installed? Then continue
Flash them, then take the battery out, and wait about 20 seconds.

Then reconnect to a2 uploader, then navigate your way to tpa/preset/custom and drag the customize file over to that directory. Disconnect, then put sim andmemorystick back, put battery back in to, then turn on

Theres nothing to lose with debranding other than the stuff that was on the phone originally

Most stuff originally is junk anyway!
