1. This tutorial assumes that you already have Jd-Flasher.

3. If you don't have JDFlasher you can download my standalone version of Far and Jdflasher from HERE and then continue on to step two. Of course then you should be using the version of Far within the Zip file (extract it first).

---------------------Begin the Actual Work!---------------------

1. Copy the updated qa2020.xml script to the JD-flasher/Script Directory
2. Open FAR and press F11, select "just da flasher".
3. Select script "db2020", port "DCU-60", speed 921600. Dont proceed yet.
4. Disconnect phone, remove battery, insert it back.
5. Click "jump down into a large rabbit-hole", connect phone while pressing the phone "C"-key.
6. Now open oflash. Drag MAIN into oflash:/ and click "Yeah, flash it". Wait until its finished.
7. Drag FS into oflash:/ and click "Yeah, flash it". Wait until thats finished to.
8. Disconnect phone, remove battery, insert it back.
9. Press F11 and select "just da flasher"
10. Select script "db2020", port "DCU-60", speed 921600. Dont proceed yet.
11. Click "jump down into a large rabbit-hole", connect phone while pressing the phone "C"-key.
12. Now enter ofs. Goto tpa / preset / custom /
13. Copy the files from the CUST into this folder
    Should be these:
    * Customize.xml
    * preloaded_config.xml
    No other files are needed but they can still be uploaded.
14. Disconnect phone, remove and re-insert battery. Start it up. Let it finish, then shut it down.
15. Press F11 and select "just da flasher"
16. Select script "db2020", port "DCU-60", speed 921600. Dont proceed yet.
17. Click "jump down into a large rabbit-hole", connect phone while pressing the phone "C"-key.
18. Now open ofs. Goto directory tpa / preset / custom /
19. Copy the anycid files for W580-RBE001 and DB2020 into this directory.
20. Disconnect phone, remove battery, insert it back.
21. Start phone up, wait until its fully booted. Start Menu -> Entertainment -> Games -> executor
    When the screen goes dark, wait a moment, then remove the battery and put it back. DO NOT START AGAIN!
22. Press F11 and select "just da flasher"
23. Select script "qa2020", port "DCU-60", speed 921600. Dont proceed yet.
24. Click "jump down into a large rabbit-hole", connect phone while pressing the phone "C"-key.
25. Now open bflash. Drag Rest into bflash:/ and click "yeah, flash it as a babe". Wait until finished.
26. Now drag the Quick Access Patch to bflash:/ and click "yeah, flash it as a vkp". Wait until finished.
27. Apply those patches you want.
28. Don't forget to delete executor in Entertainment -> Games
    That will prevent you from an accidental hit!

---------------------Add More Patches!---------------------

1. Press F11 and select "just da flasher"

You could acctually add the info about copying files to and from FS without JDF or even restarting the phone

Could you upload the .vkp patch that you're trying to load, that error means that the patch has problems!

here it is and when i pick qa2020 now and select bflash it resarts my computer but if i pick db2020_cid53 and pick bflash its fine

Any idea what this can be? I've moved the qa2020.xml into the script folder of my jd flasher.

Try running my version of Far, it already has all the updated XML's in it. Just download extract and run far.exe from within! Then continue with step 3. Let me know...

Same error I think I may uninstall the USB Drivers and reinstall them. I think that may be the problem unless you think it is something else?

As far as I know, there is no such patch for W580 RBE001, which is what this tutorial uses.



Hmm, Try uninstalling the drivers, restarting your computer, installing the drivers, restart the computer and then use my version of far. That may stop the problem. Keep me posted!

you're forget to add QAP to your phone.
just run executor.b again in your games, after that flashing rest file, and MAINFIRMWARE and finally add QAP also some patches to your phone.

negative, flash only the rest file or the main firmware both are not needed. Rest is preferred due to speed!!!

i'm tried it many times, after flash the rest if i'm not flashing my main, my phone won't turn-on.
didn't know about w850, but that's the fact in my phone.

Strange, BTW this is a W580 not W850. Mine flashes the rest file fine so don't know!

i accidently removed the battery right after i started it? how do i do? i cant start phone anymore, i remove battery, M2 card and my phone card, put battery back in, and it doesent work, what do i do?

i use FAR to edit, and i cant access ofs it gets stuck at "staring FS Server" what should i do?

Reinstalled Drivers after Uninstalling it already. Seems the error changed a little since the last time I tried...
This happened again after I copied the MAIN to the oflash:/ directory as a babe image (default option).
Guess I won't be able to do this unless I do this on my XP since I haven't installed any drivers on that PC.

Hey, what you're doing is fine. What you do then is access bflash and then flash the rest file and the qapatch. This should wake your phone up. If not then flash the main file and the qapatch. Then continue! Sorry been away for about a week!

I have a mac and I run windows xp through a virtual machine using parallels. Is there any reason that this would not work if I tried to flash using this setup?

Also, how much of a risk is there of bricking a phone doing this? As long as I follow the instructions exactly is there much that can happen that is irreversible?
