hi guys newhere.gif I sure hope you can help me out I just bought a W980 and although the acoustics rock compared to my old w910 and love the FM transmitter, the display SUCKS bigtime!! I thought smaller would mean sharper but its the opposite. It is dim, colors are off - red shows as orange, AND it is not sharp at all actually its that unsharp its hard to even watch a video on it. the camera i expected to be crap so no big deal and at least pics can be tweaked but the display's another thing. Does anyone have a better display driver for this phone, or can someone please, please make one?

while I'm on the subject, any mods at all for this phone would be great! a layout_main devoid of operator logo, menu icons, of course adding Hberew to the phone languages would all be most welcome. I thought that everything that worked on the w910 would work on the w980 too seeing as its also A2 phone but no. still the display's top priority..

hi i also have a W980i and my display is great. from the colors to sharpness and brigthness, are u talking of the internal or external display?? also modding is possible i'v modded my w980i but I think we have to be happy because on this mobile u can mod a lot of things, also the external display, it is wonderfull, but we need some time, because it needs xml knowledge and also flash because the 3 screens are made in flash ! happy.gif so could we people start and mod our w980i?? and also another particular.. when u put modded acoustic for example those from the c902 modpack when your flip is closed it sounds in one way and when it's open in another way so.. people let's go to work.. i will try these days to make something with the external display..

so could we open another topic and close this or???

your display is great?! i'm talking about the internal one, the external one's perfect for icons and such of course
but the main one is a major downfall from the w910 display..
as for modding, yeah i modded all the sounds and player layout BUT impossible to mod the layout_main to get it without the logo so far, or, which is very odd, to add hebrew to the phone language even though the custom fiels are israeli. it would be great to have some mods for this phone

may i ask why you want to close this topic before anyone has a chance to help out?

hey marinop37...could you post the files or links to the files of the modpack that u have..i like the part where u can have a sound when the flip is open and closed..the original settings dont have that..thanks
Corman
The difference between closed and open flip is not a positive one wink.gif. It's a bug you get by using acoustics used for another phone laugh.gif
