Its annoying

specially if you have a folder with 600+ wallpapers
I found another easy solution: Place everything you want to hide on Music\Ringtones. Then Media Center won't read it
It's nicer because you can do it from MobyExplorer and you can hide everything at the moment, like a Picture recently taken

And if anyone can confirm it worked, please do.
Another thing I did also which does work.

Remove the Pictures and Videos sections of the media menu with this customize_upgrade.xml
CODE
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<customization>
<registry>
<mediacenter>
<settings reg-path="/apps/mediacenter">
<orientation type="uint">0</orientation>
<auto-rotate type="bool">false</auto-rotate>
<mainmenu>
<order type="wstr">Music,Settings</order>
<focus type="wstr">Music</focus>
</mainmenu>
</settings>
</mediacenter>
</registry>
</customization>
Not a very viable solution, at least on K850 because if you open camera and slide to the picture viewer, you'll see them too
