Hey, i bought a new w580 as my "old" w580 is dead and i sent it back to service center..

i wanna flash my files with these files...... are they the "RIGHT" files of MAIN and FS files and CUSTOMIZATION pack to flash. AND wanna know that nothing will go wrong. PLS help..

i know, i typed a lot !!! but i made a phone dead so i dont want any other phone to be dead........

you didn't even say what CID your phone is. and yes you have the correct files if your phone is CID52.

so how can i find that out without connecting the phone to the computer? bcoz im afraid of SE TOOL2LITE now.. i broke my phone last month and its dead now.. T_T

I checked out my CID its 53... what should i do now ?? which files shud i use to flash ??

well XS++ and setool2 lite (identify function) could tell you the phone's CID but since you found out, get CID 53 firmware and flash with jdflasher check the link: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=27775 although it's not a guide for CID53, it shouldn't be much different.

If i flash my phone, then can i use xs to put files on my phone or ill have to use only far ?
and where can i find correct CID53 files ?
i came across a site called something like iprobz.... which i forgot the name...

iprotebe.cz you can get the firmware there. nope, you can't use XS++ only FAR + jdflasher

So i found out Files from the site ..
these are the files :-

ARE THESE FILES CORRECT ?Or if i flash with them, will i get configuration error ??

yea i'm sure, CID53 firmware + custpack, FAR + jdflasher (with CID53 support) and you're all set the only thing you can't do is patch but do you know that your CID can be downgraded to CID52? by the way, you're welcome. that's what this forum is about

I'd suggest R8BE001 firmware, it's the lastet. You can downgrade to CID52 for about €20 with the ultimate unlocker tool. It's perfectly safe, I used it too on my w580i. Be sure to have your phone fully charged in order to prevent the battery to give up during an operation.

i flashed my phone with jdf, but only main was flashed.. i tried FS flashing but it gave me an error...
phone is still working....

Ive seen something for that: I think you use a program called babe check to see if the firmware is going to work or not

Check the reasearch and development forum, but to me it does sound like bad firmware
