Hi, I bought a K660i to play around with and mod a bit, but I didn't follow the whole flashing thing, so don't really know what i can do to my K660i. Can anyone tell me what I can do to it and maybe give me some helpfull links?
Thanx

I have one too..
well, for starters, you can try changing the menu icons and the font. I wrote a whole category of posts about modding
click here, but here's the link to the post you'll need..
Accessing A200 Filesystem.
I made menu icons for K660i as well, and here're a few of them (I uploaded them to DeviantArt):
Coquette Menu Icons
Stickers Menu Icon
As for the fonts, here's the tutorial I wrote
Changing the Font. For font resources, I suggest you visit DaFont.com (free), but I also suggested that you download fonts whose size 8 is smaller. As in smaller than normal.

Hope this helps.

Thanx!
I'm not really a starter, but just didn't follow the whole thing for about an half year. I have an W810 also, and modded that one much, but now I have a K660i and don't know the things I can do to it

I have one too..

I changed the menu icons and fonts but that's just about it. been trying to look for a modded camdriver but.. so far no luck.
is there someone in here that can teach us how?

a good camera is all that's lacking in this phone, it'd be so damn cool if we can fix that.

the Media center's good already, so I don't think there's immediate need to change the acoustics. it's just the camera driver that's a bit of a letdown.
please help.

How about patching, elfs and flash menu's?
No,you have to wait for patches and elfs..
And for flash menus, just put them in flash folder...But the one with flash lite 2.0

Will this camdriver work with a G502? Heard K660 and G502 are really similar.
Nope, but upload the G502 camdriver and il have a look.

Nice a k660 topic finally. This is probably a bit random but does anyone's battery cover really creak after having used the k660 for a few weeks? I've put some bits of paper between the cover and the battery because it was driving me mad, stopped the creaking.

I use it less than a week yet, and it's already a bit loose

Hope it won't get worse...

Another question: Why can K660i display fl 2.1 and 1.x files and use them as wallpaper, but can't use them as menu :S
Acoustics, anyone?
And what about modding the media menu?

yep.. mine became loose a few weeks after. I inserted pieces of paper between the battery and cover too.. it's normal, I suppose.

So.. anybody here tried changing the layout yet? I mean, the one where you can remove the operator logo and the time and date..
i just figured that flash wallpapers will put to good use if those are removed..

I have the original layout_main.xml from my K660i.. I don't know which of the values to change so I need help.
thanks in advance.

I just changed three values to -10 and read a few lines from Photographer's tutorial.
Is there a standard k660 firmware anywhere? I'm thinking about debranding. I have alot of useless icons which I don't need. I suppose I'd need to get all my settings sent to me again after I debrand.

I don't think so..

maybe someone from here can do it..
Another question for k660 owners, does anyone know how to take pics with the front facing camera? Theres the video call section, but I can't see an option to take still photos with it.
That front cam cant take photos...

Yeah, is it possible to change the font in K660? Would be great!
yes. just search for some fonts and put them into tpa/preset/system/fonts..
