VIDEO TUTORIAL
XS++

A2Uploader

I'm gonna use my XperienceXperia theme for this tutorial.

A lil files you need.
SET Flash Menu
A2Uploader/XS++ 3.1(depending on your phone model)
A theme(.thm)
A flash menu of your choice(.swf)

First, Unzip the SET Flash Menu and put it in your program files.
Second, Right click a theme you want to add flash menu with.
Select This : Right click -> Send to ->SET Flashmenu

a Theme.xml will appear, After it appears, close SET FlashMenu first
See the first 4th line, there is a <Desktop_style Type="File" Source="ChangeMe.swf"/>, Change the "ChangeMe.swf" to a swf flash menu that you want.
Example: <Desktop_style Type="File" Source="XperienceXperia.swf"/>

Third, Once edited, SAVE YOUR NOTEPAD

Make sure it's saved. Once save, close the notepad.

Shut down your phone, Run XS++/A2Upolader and connect your phone to XS++/A2Uploader.
How to use XS++ for new users tongue.gif

After you connected it, Upload your .swf file to tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash

Once done, disconnect your phone from XS++/A2Uploader.

On your phone, and connect it to the computer again(mass storage/media transfer mode)

Put the theme that you edited with into your phone

Disconnect your phone, select the theme and you're done! you got a flash menu tongue.gif

Method 2:

Run Theme creator, Tool->Edit XML and add the <Desktop_style Type="File" Source="flash menu here.swf"/>
Close the Theme Creator.

Shut down your phone, Run XS++/A2Upolader and connect your phone to XS++/A2Uploader.

I cant figure out how to get the .swf to my phone using XS++ ?
Snowiffic
Method 3:

Download tugzip.

Rename the theme from .thm to .tar and extract, manually edit the theme.xml file and then use tugzip to compress is as a tar again, then rename to .thm =)
flensted
Neither of the three ways work for me :S

Or well.. For part three, see if this is right :

Renamed from Theme.thm to Theme.tar, extracted Theme.tar with TugZip, added the FlashMenu.swf to the extracted folder, added the line
CODE
<Desktop_style Type="File" Source="FlashMenu.swf"/>
to the
***.xml file and saved it. Compressed the folder "Theme" with TugZip to Theme.tar, and renamed it to Theme.thm.

Nothing happens when i use it on my W595, what did i do wrong ?
Snowiffic
did you copy the .swf file to tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash ?
flensted
Thats the problem, i cant find tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash folder
Snowiffic
use A2 uploader to find that folder, it's in the W595 internal FS smile.gif
flensted
It works !! laugh.gif Thanks alot to all who has helped me (devilwasabi, Mr. Thunderbird) =D

Now i can live again tongue.gif
Snowiffic
Great, glad to hear it's all working for you thumbsup.gif
flensted
Oh damn, in the menu i cant do anything :S ? I click select > nothing happens sad.gif Can you help again smile.gif ?
Snowiffic
Could you describe it more? smile.gif
flensted
It shows the right theme in the menu, but when i try to go to Messages (or anything else) nothing happens, it just stays at the menu screen ?

Need more info ? If so, i'll describe it better tomorrow wink.gif
devilwasabi
It must be a wrong flash menu, it's not compatible with your phone.
flensted
Well.. Do you know some that does work on my phone ? I have tried alot now, none works :S
DaDih*
I'm using the tugzip too but this method is good too. thumbsup.gif

What is your phone model?
Corman
For W595, you have to use FL 2.1 swf files; you probably have used 1.1 swf's.
devilwasabi
Yeap, there are specific type of flash menu your phone can only use, all the 12 icon must match in order for the flash menu to work.
flensted
Im pretty noobish at this, can you if you got time for it, give a link to where i can download 2.1 flash menus ?
devilwasabi
I already say, after downloading the flash menu, check it, see that every icon matches your phone's menu.
thedungbkhn
i like flash menu, but i don't like vibrating on flash menu.how do i can remove?
devilwasabi
search for non-vibration flash menus
KrX
Or decompile the SWF and remove the actionscript for it.

i just download flash theme n it look like every icon is matches but when i put it on my phone...the icon still don't work...when i press the message icon...it still there n didn't go to message....
why this happen or is this wrong with .swf file confused.gif

sorry 4 my english
m82a1
if ur phone doesnt go to the menu u select it to go to, like messaging, then u probably used an incompatible flash menu.
example: ur phone is flash lite 2.0, and u installed a flash lite 2.1 theme. avoid this by using themes specifically for ur phone, or get someone to convert them to ur phone smile.gif
pampi
Make sure that you move the .thm files to tpa/user/theme
And for flash (.swf) to tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash

Try then again for the flash menu you have problem with about entering the phone menu.

doesnt have to go there, he can move it to /usb/theme which is the phones internal memory
devilwasabi
For W595, AFAIK you can only use W902's flash menu

Flash menu is the SWF file, The Menu that is, Flash theme is in .thm format, which has a flash Menu(.swf) that comes with it.
