Somehow, The Left and Down arrow key of my Dpad of K850i , have gotmixed up with the right action key...


Which means that when i press either of the mentioned arrow keys, the right action key also gets pressed along with it, and the action is carried out, so supposing i press down arrow key to go to contacts, it exits out from the phonebook becos the right action is also apparently pressed. ~IT DID NOT HAPPEN DUE TO WATER~ but what made it happen, is still unclear to me.

Tried flashing, did not work, tried resetting settings and stuff, did not work either. Any other option remaining? Maybe the K850i will be replaced with a new one if i go to Service Center?? <which i cannot go until Tuesday i.e. day after tomorrow. > And that wud be a long long wait.

<thinks if he can get a C902 if he pays more and exchanges the K850i )
One good thing is that i purchased it from a Sony Ericsson official gallery. So maybe they wud be quick to respond

Sounds like you need a new keypad membrane.

My bro's phone used to have this problem, got it sent to repair center, his was the touch button in the middle.

Take it to a service center, or if your feeling confident buy one of these and do it yourself

Please note that this will void your guarantee and it might be a better idea to send it off to a service centre if you are slightly clueless.

Finally today i got the chance to take the fone to the service center... Incidentally , the service center is owned by a person whose last service centers received many complaints.. And the person i gave my fone to, did not even know how to open the battery compartment, let alone removing the battery, sim card and memory card... and the same guy was gonna repair it!!

My fone is doomed!!!

Those idiots (read above post) kept the fone for 20 days ...and were unable to repair it...and they had the courage to say that it has been done, come and pick up the fone.......!!

now i will try to talk the SE service centers in other cities to get it replaced...


rajesh20057 told me that those replaced fones are not new, but repaired ones? That we get some repaired pieces as replacement for our fone ?? Is that true?
