I've been browsing around these forums a bit now and I've ended up with a few questions.
The case is as following: I've got the w580i which has what seems to be a 2D accelerometer. What I would like to do is get readings from this sensor. Correct me if I'm wrong (and confirm if I'm right tongue.gif), but as far as I know it's impossible to use java for this on the w580i. In other words, some fancy-schmanzy modifications has to be done to do this and that seems to be elfs. I found the elf for this, but I seem to have lost it again. So the questions is as following:

-Where can I find the elf for getting data from the accelerometer?
-With this elf, can I get readings from the accelerometer into some program? java? other? (and if so, a tutorial on this?)
-When I've modded the firmware and installed elfpack, how do I run an elf? Using the normal file browser on my phone?
-Is there any changes on my phone I should know about when I mod the firmware?

And just another thing I thought about: A feature I've been missing on SE phones is to be able to have the calendar (day, week or month) as a wallpaper. Would this be possible to do in some way? EDIT: I think I've just found an application for this...

1. AccelerometerView ELF. Look in the W580 R8BE001 Elfs thread.
2. You can display it on Standby. You can't forward it to other things.
3. When in your File Manager, when you highlight an ELF, the softkey will show "Open". As is if you view images, it will show "View". So to run ELFs, just press your softkey when you highlight it.
4. Yes. Keep a backup of your GDFS. The service centre might not accept your phone if its modded (but usually they will as long as you don't tell them anything, rollback as much as you can on your modifications).
