I debranded my w850i. All went sort of well. I tried to change the firmware from Vodafone firmware to generic SE firmware. After a long while I got it right. Then I had a Menu.ml error. Fixed that and now I have 2 problems.
1. my answer and end call buttons (those with the phone on them) functions changed. My answer button is my internet button and my end call button is now my changed shortcut button. How can I get those buttons to work as they should, cos if I get a call, I cant use the answer button, I have to use the old shortcut button. (please bear wif me...)
2. if the LCD goes dark after a while it stays dark, does not matter if i press anything or do anything, it stays dark.
Please can anyone shed some insight for me.
thanks
That's very unusual. Are you very sure you got W850 firmware? Because if they're the same firmware for the same model no buttons will get screwed. Neither will the MENU.ML at default!
Try getting another set of firmwares.

Yes it is w850 firmware. The thing is that I used XS++ to flash it, I chose the Custom Flash and a preselected firmware from XS++.
Er, wait...
When you "flash" your phone there are 3 parts to it.
the MAIN (What your phone does)
the FS (The filesystem of your phone - holds stuff like display drivers)
the Custom pack. (Allows your phone to connect to your network. Also holds other stuff like hooks and so on)
There aren't firmwares in XS++, only custom packs. When you choose custom flash you're only flashing in the custpack... Go find a proper set of firmwares.
