i have a w580i locked on rogers but debranded with generic firmware using xs. its cid52 db2020.
So, ive learned about patching and finally figured out how it works but i have a problem.

so when i try pressing the flash button with my firmware and the qucik access patch made by qamaker. i get that error, and my phone acts like its been just connected normaly and the drive shows on my computer....how do i fix this? thanks

also...how can i unlock my w580i, what is elfs? and whats these autusic and cam drivers?

well ive learned all the other things now...but how do i fix my problem above?

u need 2 patch ur phone with SEtool or JDflasher n u r done

but i cant pactch using setools because of the error i got...i posted the log on my first post of this thread.

jdflasher..well, it looks very confusing and ive heard about problems usingit with vista.

on the other note......i jus installed the wtf lights and auctosics drivers or watever

also.........i just made my gdfs back up...its a .bin file and under 100kb, is this normal?

i was expecting it to be some like 40 mb file..

im thinking of reflashing it to another firmware.....would this make it possible to apply the qucik access patch to the phone using setoools?

Yes or u can do with FAR MANAGER and JDFLASHER Plugin!

if the quick access patch works with jdflaser, can i use setools to patch after words?

Nope, only with JD!!

No, you can use setool2lite to patch once you have QA patch in. But I strongly suggest you stick with JDFlasher since you already know how to use JDFlasher. JDFlasher patches stuff alot faster. SETool2Lite has a size limit as to what it can patch...
