Well I was wondering if anyone knew how to listen to the radio without the handset, I hear it is possible and also how do I get a flash menu on my phone? Also what does debrand the phone mean and what is it used for? What all tricks can I do to this phone? Im just excited and everything....also are there any protective screen covers for the phone and are there any face plates? Thanks for everyones help, hope i get alot of answers!

hehes, welcome, Yes, you can add flash menu into your W580, for the radio without headset thing, you need to find the patch for it. I'm not sure what does debranding do as i don't do it.
to listen to the radio without a headset tutorial is available in the tutorials section
debranding means that: say u got this phone from a 3 network if u debrand it then a different sim card can be inserted to use this phone
search around this forum for most of your questions
Wrong! You are confusing debranding with unlocking. Unlocking means your phone will be un-locked so any SIM-card can be used with it, regardless the operator (some phones odn't allow this, meaning SIM-cards from only 1 operator are allowed).
Debranding however gets you rid of so-called "operator branding". Some operators tend to brand their phones with custom images and menus (e.g. Orange, Vodafone). if you unbrand your phone, you turn it into a generic one, so you get it the way SE intended it to be. You thus get the official files.
Now, to listen to radio without headsets, you can patch the phone so it doesn't check whether the headphones are inserted. Because the phone wasn't intended to do so, there is no internal hardware to pick up radio signals. So don't expect a great sound quality.

And even then, thats down to the CID, though I fear its a CID53
Yes, and for patches, you need to debrand your phone to a GENERIC MAIN.
For W580i, I strongly recommend you get the R8BE001 firmware version.
However, we have yet to know what CID your phone is. Doing such modifications for free on your phone requires CID52. If you have a CID53 phone, as it is with most newly purchased phones, you have to pay for it.
If you've got CID52 (determine by posting up a XS++ connection log), to listen to radio without headsets, you
use this patch after debranding to W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA, and after applying the Quick Access patch after you debrand.

Well there is some good news: I read a post yesterday saying that its possible to downgrade your CID53 to CID52, but you have to pay for it
Yes it was possible 'bout a week ago (or less =X)
As I said

Just in case you might want to know, downgrading CID costs 25 euros, which lasts until you do something to your phone that changes the CID again (SEUS for example)
Patching in QA patch for CID53 costs 10 euros, which lasts only for that flash. Once you reflash, its gone.

So in order to get patches , I have to debrand my phone first and use the R8BE001 firmware to make it a generic main and apply the quick access patch after i debrand? But before all of this I have to determine if my phone is CID52 by using XS++ program?

well that sucks then....oh yes can someone tell me if i can get javascript on my phone?...is it even possible? if i do get it, it would be free right?
javascript?
no idea what you're talking about.
The only programming language that 'talks' straight to your phone is ELF, written in a c-type syntax, and for that you need to patch in ElfPack and its required libs and other files.

isnt there a part in the customize.xml that sets Flash themes to true or false (ie enabled or disabled?)
Yeah, have!!
You change for ENABLE and the menus flash work.

Check out one of the cust generators, they have an option in them.
Yes, but I think is better make the flash with the GENERIC MAIN to aply patches later.
