Timeout error? Sure you even got your drivers in?

I've installed the SEMC USB driver is there anything else i'm missing?
It seems to work for a bit then comes up with a timeout error

the message is something like writeblock fail time exceeded

Thanks

What part of the world do you come from? Europe? America?

Try using that region as your FS. e.g. W580_R6BC002_FS_AMERICA_1_RED53.fbn. (or something like that)

Just tried using the europe one (i'm from UK)
Still the same time exceeded error.

What could be causing this

I'm Running Vista under parallels if that makes any diffrence

Hmm

Try R8BE001 firmware from mirko750's esnips folder.

Here's your main for you:
http://www.esnips.com/doc/36944dd5-deb4-4c...ENERIC_LA_RED53

Find your FS.

Note: don't use a download accelerator to download - it usually corrupts the firmware.
