I have just bought a K770i and it was locked to the vodafone network. I called voda phone who gave me an unlock code for £19.99 which is fine but i am wanting to debrand it now and get rid of all the voda crap as i am on O2.

Where do i get a cable to flash? Where can i find O2 Firmware to flash?

Is it an easy job to do?

just flash generic fw, you can find it in the fw thread...

Ok so i download XS++ for the flashing? Does this have the generic firmware for the K770?

Note first thing you should do is to backup your GDFS, you can practice it using XS++3.1!

After reading the tutorial it says i need to download the Sony Ericsson Update Service thing? the url is broken and i can't find it anywhere! Do i need this?

I am also having trouble sourcing some generic firmware to wipe out this voda stuff on my phone!

Dont need this.
Use only the Setool2lite and Flash your firmware and FS.
Dont forget the CustomPack too.
